You’ve put your finger on it exactly. These royal events bring out in droves what’s left of patriotic British “subjects”. That’s a VERY good thing. I think when the Queen goes though, the whole country is going to fall apart. That is: unless Prince William turns out to have all her genes (which I doubt) and kicks his dad to the curb (which I also doubt).
And so many people in this country tear down our traditions because it seems to be the fun thing to do. This has always confused and appalled me. I love tradition. It’s what ties us to our past and future.
There isn’t enough make up on earth to make that mug look good.
Remember: his father - that fat head Prince Charles - is going to get there first. Pity that poor country!
After posting a dig at Seinfeld here on FR, I picked up my mail to discover my husband had just bought all of “Seinfeld” on Amazon! Actually, I think it’s one of the most brilliant shows ever created - and completely non-political.
The Spanish Royal family must have been insane to marry close relatives like that.
The couple is special to their families and to their countrymen. They seem like a delightful pair and I want their wedding to be all they hope it to be.
It becomes a spectacular when the same forces, that put Seinfeld where he is, are doing their thing — and his mouthing out on it.

Hey, modern day Hollywood DOES suck, Kate Middleton is NO Diana and the Kennedys ARE pathological freaks who vomit at weddings. Personally, I enjoy saying these things and have NO intention of jumping off a bridge.

She must have been real special to have Entertainment Tonight nattering on about her for weeks.
Hint to celebs: when you want to take down another celebrity, make sure first that you're not more annoying and offensive than your target.
