I don't have any problem with this.
It's not like we're building a system to stop 500 missiles at the same time, or even 100. Even the Russians...and by a strange extension the US...would benefit from a joint shield.
The only downside is our shield WOULD be effective against Chinese ICBMs...they only have about 30 that can reach us.
