In 1995:
Fox News did not exist.
The Internet was still a cool new toy being used by maybe 10,000 techno geeks
The GOP had only 1 national talk radio show(Rush Limbaugh) on their side.
The Tea party movement did not exist.
The nation wasn't being told by the Dems to swallow a $1.6 TRILLION deficit and a $3.8 trillion Fed budget.
In 1995 the economy was booming, gasoline was cheap and the jobless rate was 5.7% and rapidly falling.
This is not 1995.
So how about the nervous handwringers in the "Conservative" movement either man up or get out of the way?
I always find it funny that they get the blame for the 95 shutdown but not the credit for the balanced budget the few years after that.
