I watched the Kennedys' miniseries first installment last night with the girlfriend last night. Not too bad. GF is clueless about how the Kennedys have operated all these years. She knows a little about the obvious ones(Ted the Swimmer, Willie Smith). I threw a nugget about how Ted put Rose as a FLA resident at her death even though she hadn't been there in 15 years to avoid MA death taxes. How about everyone post some of the shenanigans so I don't have to look up all of them. I thank everyone in advance.
Recommendations for books on the subject are encouraged as well
Google : Pinkham : Embarrass the Kennedy family? That’s impossible
Look into how much in Estate Taxes they have paid; like zero! Ted believed in Estate Taxes for everybody but the Kennedy clan. Everything they own is sheltered.
Ted Kennedy secretly approached the Soviets in 1980, wanting to offer them help in undermining President Reagan.
JFK shared a mistress with Mafia boss Sam Giancana, compromising National Security.
Joe Kennedy was a bootlegger and a Nazi sympathizer.
Patrick Kennedy used his political influence to avoid a DUI arrest for wrecking his car in DC after leaving a bar.
etc, etc, etc
ping for later
The JFK bio “The Dark Side of Camelot,” by liberal investigative journalist Seymour M. Hersh, is a good place to start. The book has flaws, but also much information overlooked by other biographers.
A good read is a book about Sam Giancana and how he calims he did in JFK,not sure if true but still a good read.

Suprisingly, PBS paints a less-than-flattering picture of Papa Joe Kennedy and JFK in “The Kennedys”, which you can watch online for free:

There’s a link to a transcript, too.
In a short JFK bio, PBS tells the truth about his poor health and his affairs:

“Shenanigans” implies juvenile pranks.
I’d say most of the Kennedy history goes well beyond that.
