Safe and hound: Tsunami dog found alive and well in Japan after THREE WEEKS adrift at sea...

It appears almost too good to be true, but this little dog has been found alive and well adrift at sea, an astonishing three weeks after the tsunami that devastated Japan.

Members of the Japan Coast Guard came across the dog on Friday as they were conducting an aerial search of the area.

Against all the odds, the dog appears to have survived by living in a partially submerged house that had been swept out to sea.

Local television showed showed pictures of the dog scampering around the roof of the house before it disappeared inside through a hole in the roof.

Rescuers had hoped to find more tsunami survivors living inside the house but after tearing the roof open, it was found to be empty apart from the dog.

Despite its three weeks at sea, the medium-sized brown dog seemed to be in reasonably good condition considering its ordeal.

The discovery of the dog is a rare glimmer of hope in Japan where thousands of people are believed to have perished in the disaster.

A fishy tale: It seems almost too good to be true, but this little dog seems to have survived against all odds and was discovered by coastguards floating on a raft at sea

Against all odds: The dog appears to have survived by clinging to a house that had been swept away by the massive earthquake and tsunami that struck on March 11

Whoo. Everything is blurry. Wish they could find more people still alive.

On a lighter note, my little Poobear took a fall and hurt his back two days ago. Limping around and looking very injured. We waited to see if it would improve. Miraculously he ran over to me a couple of hours ago hungry and wanting to go outside like nothing happened.

Take every Miracle as your own. G-d Bless Japan. May G-d Bless us all.

OMG! He’s an old timer too. Look at that gray snout. Good for the Dog. I pray his people survived as well.

In the 33 years (this month) we’ve been married we’ve had over thirty dogs. Currently have four, and one is a Chocolate Labrador seventeen years old.

I know that rescued dog in the picture has to be up there in age with all that gray on his snout.

Call me a pessimist; but Dog’s cannot drink salt water any more than we can. It will KILL the dog. What did the dog allegedly drink for the past 3 weeks?

The article said the dog was in a house and the rescuers hoped to find people alive. Perhaps there was water within the house that the dog could drink.

Gosh.

My Japanese is a little weak. Don’t think I can communicate with the dog to ask him.

OK, I confess. Two days ago, I flew from Baltimore to Japan, ran up to the exclusion zone, found a stray, found a house floating in the ocean, and put the dog on it and pushed it towards the coast guard.

The youtube is gonna go viral.
