This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address occur on the same day, February 2nd, 2011. As Air America Radio pointed out, "It is an ironic juxtaposition of events:
"One involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication while the other involves a groundhog."
It is also James Joyce’s birthday.
Maybe Obama should include a few passages from Finnegans Wake in his address?

HUH!?!? Unless there has been a MASSIVE Calendar Malfunction, the President's State of the Union address is this Tuesday, JANUARY 25th. As much as I would liken the event to a blind rodent hunting for some sun, this does not correspond with the other rodential event on Wednesday, February 2nd!
I wonder if Zero is going to tell us that his goal is to crush the Republic?
