Even the good, Christmas tunes are turning into instant gag reflex for me.Even the good, Christmas tunes are turning into instant gag reflex for me.

After a year's absence, I don't mind them at all. Hearing these songs brings back memories of my youth, and I think of all the young folk who have no clue. It makes me glad to be a part of something that's so solidified in our culture.

Relax, take a deep breath, and get yourself back on track again...

The music isn’t there for just you, ya know.

Christmas, with its wacky fantasies, true gospel, and all, is for everybody.

Maybe I don't get out enough, but I don't know the hippo one. The others? No biggie.

My choice for most annoying? Jingle Bell Rock (ugh). It has grated on me from when I was a kid in the 50s.

On a happy note, one of my favorite Christmas albums is

Carmen Dragon & Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra -The Music of Christmas

“Father Christmas” by the Kinks. All about beating up and robbing Santa. But, that’s okay, because the kids are poor.

For all the Last Christmas haters - and I agree with yunz as far as the WHAM version - I like this.. Last Christmas Crazy Frog

I don't understand it but I like it.

And Christmas Shoes is the one song I REALLY can't stand!

After Paul Mc Cartney's spectacle in the WH with Bozo, he can eat merde and die.

I'd rather listen to the dog fart.

Jingle Bell Rock is itself a passable ditty. Its official video is a crazy spoof.

“Last Christmas” was the one I picked too. ICK! The song has nothing to do with Christmas - it’s an abomination!

The absolute worst has to be that one by John Lennon that starts “so this is Christmas ...” I would have loved to give that snotty jackass a smack across the face.

Yes!

Whenever I’m caught (usually in the supermarket) having to endure that tedious POS song, I fantasize bashing Paul McCartney’s head in with a tire iron.

My nomination: “Last Christmas” by WHAM!

There's nothing like mixing homosexual lust into Christmas. BTW, are you saving yourself for someone "SPECIAL" this year?

Gotta agree. Robert Earle Keen is a hoot.

Let's face it, "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas" is just downright strange. Who asks for a hippopotamus for Christmas?

It's the story of a child with an unrealistic expectation for Christmas. What's the problem? Yes the tone it is sung in is grating.

Hard to believe the same guy that wrote all those great Beatles songs, wrote that, and the songs he did with Michael Jackson.

Paul, love most of your work, but dude, what were you thinking? Kind of stymies the argument that pot makes a person more creative.

I always like Robert Earl Keen songs best when sung by Joe Ely.
