Ha Ha ha! The LAT attempting to smear Reagan. I wonder how long it will take the LAT to print an “expose” on how RFK used the FBI to spy on his and JFK’s “enemies” . . . . .

This didn’t strike me so much as a smear... though it will be taken that way by the Reagan-hating left.

The article clearly points out that Reagan didn’t give the FBI any “secrets” and that everything he said in opposition to commie groups in Hollywood he said publicly and often.

Reading this, though, made me think of the movie The Front, with Woody Allen. The most pretentious, self-absorbed, self-agonizing, self-pitying, self-congratulating movie ever made.

Worse than the commies who have infiltrated Hollywood from its earliest days are the PC types who find a movie like The Front “important”.

As I read this column, it’s a defense of Reagan and his role in the Hollywood unions during the Cold War as they were taken over by the Communists. Further, it takes the San Jose Mercury to task for jumping to the conclusion that Reagan was a snitch, when in fact, he was very open publicly about what he saw happening with the Hollywood unions.,
