It was pretty obvious that he stopped dying his hair. It seems to go back and forth from being dyed to not being dyed
That was deliberate. Very soon after he was elected his hair started turning gray. I think he covered up his gray before the election to look young and attract young voters. Then stopped covering his gray hair to appear more distinguished as president.
