GOProud plays Wormtongue to GOP’s King Theoden

How many movies have you seen where the bad guy sends a saboteur into the good guy’s camp. This person pretends he wants the same end result as the good guy when all the while he’s working to bring him down. Wormtongue of “Lord of the Rings” fame comes to mind with his evil whisperings into King Theoden’s ear as he leads him astray with lies and persuasion.

Recently according to Politico, GOProud, the conservative homosexual group, along with various segments of the Tea Party stated in an open letter that they want to table social issues in favor of promoting a purely fiscal conservative platform for the Republican Party.

First of all, although this group may agree with the GOP on various fiscal conservative issues, they also want expansion of health care benefits to domestic partners, tax code advantages for homosexuals, hate crime laws, and open homosexuality in the military. These issues can hardly be considered conservative. Their website might offer a list of fiscal issues conservative can agree with, but as GOProud chairman Christopher Barron stated in a Twitter posting:

“We are a gay organization, we only work on gay issues, we have never claimed otherwise. My God people.”

This group is a ticking time bomb trying to infiltrate the ranks.

Secondly, Fiscal Conservatism without the underpinnings of Social Conservatism is a self-defeating proposition. Economic issues are social issues and they’re both moral issues. You can’t separate one from the other.

Ignoring bottom line morality and hence social issues is a recipe for disaster. Immoral laws such a No-Fault Divorce and Welfare have already destroyed the American family which is one of the pillars of our nation, not to mention civilization in general.

“GOProud, the conservative homosexual group...”

GOProud also bought into CPAC and damaged that. I doubt they have any serious number of members and they function as a fifth column to damage the Conservative cause and that is no accident.

I'm willing to table social issues. The gays want to stop trying change marriage I'm willing to let it remain as it has for 6,000 or so years.

Roe, btw, is not a "social issue". A judge who understands that must be overturned is a judge who won't take your home to give to a drug company or tell a cop he can't ask for ID from a suspected criminal.

GOProud (haughty) is only one of many groups of saboteurs trying to infect otherwise conservative society. There can be no fellowship with this darkness - none.

Anyone with an ounce of sense recognizes that “GOProud” is not Tea Party.

Free Republic Founder Joins Boycott Of CPAC

"I’ll join that boycott. If CPAC is no longer for conservative family values then I want nothing to do with them. They’ll have to change their name to HOMOPAC."

GOProud went to CPAC knowing there would be problems. I bet it was no accident.
