This is a video of a squirrel that has to go through an obstacle course in order to get to the food. While not absolutely amazing, it is quite interesting to see how determined an animal can be to find food. Now if we can just teach this attitude to humans. They say that if you teach a man to fish you have given him a gift that will allow him to feed himself for a lifetime. However, we live in a society that would rather give them a fish and thus enslave them for a lifetime. Maybe a video like this one should be mandatory for every student in school to watch.

Something about squirrels I have always found fascinating. I remember back in 1999, someone posted an article to FreeRepuiblic about an army of animals getting ready to attack a city. It was a joke but very well written.
The premise of the article was that the squirrels were the advanced scouts who were watching us. They would send messages via the birds to the animals in the woods about what were were doing.
It was very funny and I wish I could find it. If anyone remembers it or knows about it, could you post it or tell me where I can find it?

Animal Video Ping!
An interesting video of a determined squirrel conquering an obstacle course to get to the food. Something all liberals need to see. A simple lesson in how to enable one to feed themselves regardless of the obstacles in one way........

.
The disadvantage of being a liberal is that they do not have squirrel sense.

Squirrels don’t have squirrel committees passing out free acorns to keep other squirrels from working so that the committee of squirrels can keep getting reelected.

Read Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich”.
EVERY paragraph details how the prisoners, the guards, the entire Soviet was capitalistic in its core: “What do I need to do to survive? What is the price of my food? Of the extra slice of bread? What is the cost of laying bed one more minute? What is the cost of speaking out? Of not grabbing a piece of wood for tonight’s fire? What is the cost of scrouging a pipe? A board? What is cost of getting one package from home? What is the benefit of getting two packages? Who needs to do what to survive one more day?”
Every question is answered by cost. By benefit? By price.

Now if we can just teach this attitude to humans. Easy to do. We just have to take the bleeding hearts out of leadership positions. Humans learn pretty fast when they have to.

Too bad the video doesn't show all the preparation for this.
The squirrel didn't figure out the obstacle course. It was taught, starting with a single obstacle and gradually increasing the number of consecutive obstacles until you see the results in the video.
Of course, that isn't much different than teaching humans step-by-step instructions. However, they don't have the incentive if you feed them anyway.

Yes, it would be cool.
However, the attention span for videos I have found is about 1:30 to 2 minutes. Anything longer and most will just pass and go on. So I try to keep my videos down to 2:00 minutes or less. Often times I will edit them to work within that time frame.

Very perceptive because that describes me to a tee.

OH, it was easy.
I am the same way.
So I tailor them for myself and I thus make a majority of viewers happy.
LOL :>)
Actually, since I began doing videos, I have gained patience to watch longer videos knowing I may be able to edit them for an audience that likes snack news and tidbits.

Seems every species on earth has the will to survive by foraging, or working, for food...except the liberal species.
I just received this history lesson that bears me out:
They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.
The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer.
These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1 . Liberals
2. Conservatives
Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture.Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum canwere invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.
Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement...
Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.
Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. They became known as girlie-'men'.
Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.
Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass for obvious reasons.
Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their 'men'.
Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood, college professors, and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.
Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively.
Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.
Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production.
Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.
Here ends today's lesson in world history:
It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it.
A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to piss them off.
End of history lesson.

But liberals demand you beg for permission before fishing. If for the da chillin doncha know?
If you are going to fish, you will need to first obtain a fishing license. Once you have the license, you need to file an environmental impact statement, to make sure that a buncha worthless bottom feeding bureaucrats can buy fish with the dough they make reviewing it.
Before you even get the fishing license, you'll need to get training from a bunch of accredited experts who couldn't find their tacklebox with both hands. Otherwise, they'd never be able to get enough dough to buy any fish.
Then you need to complete a two-year internship with a Union master baiter to acquire special "hands on" experience, if you know what I mean. The master baiter might know how to fish, but he likes having you do the grunt work while he takes the bulk of the fish. After a few years in the union, you too can be a master baiter.
In the long course of career as fisherman, you will be required to hand over about half your fish to the government, to feed people on NPR and in distant universities, who simultaneously deride you for working working at such as difficult and onerous occupation as fishing, while claiming to know more than you ever will or could about how to fish, despite never having even seen a tacklebox and who are overtly hostile to fishing and fishers.
This is why most people no longer want to fish, but either just let the government give them fish (cause there are lots of fishers to provide them to the government) or actually join the government in the far more lucrative occupation of collecting the fishers' catch from them. It's only fair, doncha know.
