I did a model run for a rocky meteor about the size of the Empire State building, traveling at 40 kilometers a second impacting at a 45 degree angle 200 miles of the coast in 2,000 feet of water:

The impact-generated tsunami wave arrives approximately 34.9 minutes after impact. Tsunami wave amplitude is between: 21.6 meters ( = 70.9 feet) and 43.3 meters ( = 142 feet).
