The 3rd movie sucked so bad, with Spiderman forgiving and releasing the bum who murdered Spidey’s beloved uncle in cold blood.
I'm waiting for Ted Turner to rerelease Citizen Kane in 3-D.
If they didn't use 3-D effects for the third movie, then they should try to go for 4-D for the fourth film.
She doesn’t look ANYTHING like Lidsey Lohan ??!! NOT even close....except they both have breasts....
Good. Personally I hate Tobey Maguire.
He came along and made skinny and geeky the in-thing with chicks.
...twenty-five years after I NEEDED him to do that!!!
I see what you mean (from post 25) .. they part their hair on different sides.

Lindsay Lohan also seems to have a powdery-white birthmark under each nostril, so that’s a difference.
Boobs. You forgot boobs.
The original 3 weren’t owned by Marvel’s movie group (because it didn’t exist yet). The new set is entirely under Marvel. Because of Hollywood weirdness Marvel would have to get clearance from Sony to continue that story. So it’s reboot time, this will also give them a chance to fold it into the Marvel movie universe they’re making.
“And its not great 3D like we had in the 50s and 60s, where the filmmaker teased the audience with sharp pointy things, slimy things, animals with fangs, and such.”
Interesting. That’s why I LIKE the new 3-D. It’s there to add depth and texture...not as a novelty. In other words, it enhances the story rather than detract from it with unrelated or unnecessary 3-D gimmick images.
Oh, yeah. I forgot.
Not guilty.
LOL! Great comment.
Go rent “Ride with the Devil”. Best Toby Maguire film you’ve never heard of. Might give you a different opinion. Great flick.
LMAO!
So Sam Hamm who never saw his bonus from Tim Burton’s first Batman film (at least in its theatrical run because that film was “did not show a profit” on paper) got money on all of the subsequent films or at least until the reboot?
Screenwriters are credited with “creating the characters” of a book even when they are simply adapting another’s text. Which is why the Terry Gilliam version of Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas has to credit people who did not contribute to the film script that was brought to the screen (originally to be directed by Alex Cox if I recall).
I don’t care who is doing Hollywood’s bogus accounting and credit assignments. As a consumer I have zero interest in seeing another origin story arch less than a decade after the initial series began (and the shot of the WTC in the original teaser trailer was pulled just after 9-11-2001).
400 comic book stories and they can only tell the same 3 issues.
You remember that scene where the joker walks up to Maggie Gyllenhaal's character and says, "Hello, Beautiful!" to her? People laughed derisively in the theater in response.I saw that movie in a theater here in my small town in MO-I've never heard an audience laugh AT an actor like that before or since. I guess asking the audience to regard poor MG as a sex symbol was just asking too much of their ability to suspend disbelief.
Sam Hamm didn’t see anything, Warner Bros on the other hand saw tons of money because they owned all those movies.
People don’t own anything in Hollywood, studios own it. Once a screenwriter gets paid for the last word he wrote (usually during final post production) unless he some how got points on gross he won’t get another dime out of that movie or any sequels. They might have to get the credit but that’s it.
You might not care but everything you’ve ever seen on a movie screen is determined by those accounting and credit rules.
That's where the real piracy is in Hollywood, in the bean counters offices stealing it away from the contractually obligated "producers" of the work (Sam Hamm signed for points of profits on his work and saw nothing as I noted because the pirates cooked the books to show it "earned nothing" even though it was a top drawing film that made back its expenses and was not "null".).
Hollywood wouldn't return to the soundstage to make 3 more films in a franchise if the first really did tank as they said.
He shoulda learned from prior Hollywood got-screwed-overs. Never go for points of "profits". Go for points of gross revenue.
