Manager wrestles gun away from armed robber
A would-be armed robber should file a complaint against Miami Subs, because he certainly received rude service after he was beat down by the store's manager during a robbery attempt this week.
Devane Jenkins, 16, was taken to the hospital and then arrested for attempted armed robbery after he took a beating from the store manager of the Miami Subs located at 661 West Sunrise Boulevard.
Police claim Jenkins walked into the sandwich shop Sunday evening and ordered two employees to go to the safe. Jenkins was holding a revolver.
After the employee and store manager opened the safe, the store manager felt Jenkins was going to kill them both anyway so he went from turkey to hero and jumped on the would be robber.
After a brief struggle, the unnamed store manager wrestled the gun away from the stunned teen. Jenkins tried to escape through the drive-thru window, but the manager again blocked his retreat.
Then Jenkins tried to go through the manager, but that didn't work either. The other employee got involved and the two held Jenkins down until cops arrived. Now that's what we call service.

OK I finally get what’s going on in the video. Bad guy is in purple shirt, manager is the black guy in short sleeves who ends up with the gun at the end. Wish the camera could have shown more of the beat-down! Happy ending.
Hope they changed their little plastic gloves before they went back to work.

They are called Miami Subs because that is where they originated, but they are scattered throughout the South Floor-E-Duh area.
(But you do ask a valid question .. What was an Amish kid doing there in the first place?) 8)
