Intra-party (and intra-ideological) warfare is generally destructive and dumb. Disagreements are natural, but insults and flames and verbal abuse do nothing to help the cause. Yes, we have to draw the lines around the tent somewhere, but we accomplish much more with a big tent than a small one.

The best thing about the Tea Party is that it makes the conservative tent bigger, by including Libertarians, Independent, and even some Democrats.

Internal disagreements on the Right at such an important time in American history are counterproductive, and stupid.

Rove is among the small group who controlled the campaign's next steps and in 2000 he REFUSED to approach the USPS about the question of the postmarks on the return ballot mailpieces from troops overseas.

The answer was simple ~ no postmark was required because Motor Voter required they be handled free of postage.

End of story.

The decision was already written and that travail could have been out of the way early on and the Democrat criminal bar sent home early.

With Karlita , Harriet Myers was just dandy for the Supreme Court ! The woman from tiny Del however is not fit to sit among the thieves in congress .

Excellent point!

Well said! Also, the context for Rove’s diatribe and all similar comments is that it’s somehow better for Republicans to have another Jeffords situation with a Castle, Crist, and/or Murkowski in the US Senate. Any RINO, so long as we can win 51 seats! I submit that a Castle, Crist, or Murkowski greatly weakens conservative interests in the US Senate — b/c the Demagogues and MSM always seize upon the weak links for displays of “bi-partisanship” and “moderation” — bad enough to have Grahamnesty, Mccain, Snowe, and Collins et al..... but adding a Castle or Crist to that mix only gives the ‘Rats a lot more opportunity to maneuver.

Look at 2010 as one step in a long process.... build a foundation for 2012 and beyond, rather than embrace Castle, Crist, and Murkowski..... I’d say things are on a much better course than what Rove and his pals wanted.

I think that O’Donnell has a decent though long-shot chance of winning the seat.... but I’d rather lose it with her than give a Castle/Jeffords the opportunity to make all kinds of mischief in common cause with his favorite Demagogues.

When that blew up in his face he responded by doubling down and repeating it some more.

The sign of a real jackwagon with a bruised ego. And now he's insisting that he's criticizing O'Donnell because that's his role as a Fox commentator. Oh yeah, Rove? So then where's where's your "commentary" on Coons?

“I feel that Mr. Rove has only done what what Mr. Rove is PAID to do.”

I sense you are right, and where Castle is concerned, the question is “Paid by whom?”

Exactly . Of course the fair and balanced fraud machine is giving Rove enormous air time . They will not expose his ties to Castle . Karlita is a fraud . This is the same slime ball that put on the dem knee pads for 8 yrs and supported Harriet Myers for supreme Court !!!

Rove is overrated as an strategist and underrated as a liberal. I don't hate the man, but I was very disappointed in the way he persuaded Bush to pursue a leftist course.

There was no real Bush NG fiasco. His Air Force Reserve Officer's records from his time in service had been MISFILED, probably on purpose by an individual with infinitely detailed knowledge of the US military officer's records system ~ to wit Sandy Burgler.

During his brief military career Sandy was trained to be a military officer's records specialist. He learned everything but how the dental records were handled and that was his downfall and unveiling.

Recall that "W" went to a dentist at a base where he was supposed to be, but which was not supported by his other records ~ which were, as it turns out, missing.

The dental records were intact ~ and supported "W"'s claims completely.

When Sandy got caught stealing classified materials from the National Archives he got off with a light sentence.

The same week his plea bargain was granted "W"'s missing Air Force records showed up and supported his claims to an honest career, and put the lie to the Democrat story.

The Democrats obviously had a hand in misfiling "W"'s records. "W" should have handled them roughly ~ possibly by loading them into a cargo plane and dropping them out over the Gulf of Mexico ~ but he didn't.

Karl Rove was not involved in this and didn't have a clue what was going on.

Karl Rove brought out things about Christine O’Donnell that the Democrats would have used in a more damaging, strategic way against her. Such questions as the true nature of her college education, why it took nearly two decades to pay her college bills so she could get her college degree, why did she sue Intercollegiate Studies Institute, why she went five years without paying her federal income taxes and her many questionable statements. When looking into some of these issues, it is obvious that O’Donnell will have the Coon campaign looking as a lot of raw meat and having a problem in what to serve next.

I’ve despised him for years. He is partly the reason we are where we are now. His attempts at “triangulation” politically are the reason Congress and the WH are now held by lefties. They scammed him and used his “compassionate conservatism” against him and he didn’t even know it.

I think Dryman is a gay boy.

Read his list of rules of who he’ll respond to and how he’ll respond.

He’s a gay boy cruising for action.

He’s looking for big tough conservative men who will discipline him.

Pretty freaking sickening, I know. Despicable and disgusting. But that’s what I think we’re dealing with here.

A little tutti-fruiti gay boy hoping for some “tough love”.

Turns your stomach just to think of it, I know. And I hate to be the one to mention it. But that’s the way it is.

It’s pretty obvious if you take a closer look.

Read his initial post again, and as you’re reading it, ask yourself, is this gay or what?

I think you’ll have to agree.

Dryman is a gayman.

Everybody understands the power to set the legislative agenda. There was no guarantee Castle was going to be allowed to win. Just because he'd won in the past was no reason to believe he could win in the face of a massive economic disaster.

The Democrat is a doctrinaire Communist appratchik ~ you know what his campaign slogans were going to be.

That won't happen now.

I've "hated" Mr. Rove, et al since 1964.

There are precedences vis-a-vis the Republican Party and citizens' private efforts.

Once it was clear that the California citizens' recall-the-governor effort was going to succeed and there would be a recall election the Republican Party abandoned the support of the Democrat governor, stopped trashing the citizens, elbowed the citizens aside and claimed the effort was theirs. All we got was this lousy Schwarzenkennedy.

A second tactic used by the Republican establishment in the past did not try to take over Goldwater and the emerging modern conservative movement; instead..

Nelson Rockefeller according to Stuart Spencer (Rockefeller's public relations head) said, "We had to destroy Barry Goldwater as a member of the human race."

Co-opt or destroy? Looks to me like the Party is trying to do both.. take over the Tea Party movement in general and destroy Tea Partiers who run against the Party's chosen ones.

In general it is a fact IMO that the "meddlers" are Republican Party members and voters -- they just are not going to truckle to the Party just for the sake of the Party.

I don't hate Rove, I just lost all respect for him. Rove’s support of RINO Castle was fine...during the primary. Once the primary was over, Rove should have congratulated O'Donnell and threw his support to her, not berate her like he did on Hannity. It was classless and petulant at best.

If the RINO had won, we would have been expected to get in line and support him; regardless of his Liberal baggage. When a RINO loses, they have hissy fits then pack up their toys and go home. It's that type of Republican that has made the party the joke it is. Conservatives are taking back the GOP, and the RINOS can either join us or get bent.

In my opinion having Castle off the ticket is the best thing to happen, even if O'Donnell loses the Senate seat. It gives the voters a real choice in the election, and it sends a warning message to the GOP elite....It's not your party anymore cuz we're crashing it.
