I have three inches of water in my garage. (DFW) I'm freeping from my mobile phone as I futz with the water pump. Anyone else getting flooded? Heard there are multiple water rescues in Austin.

Getting hosed in waves north of Carrollton. Nothing as bad as you though. Hope all turns out ok for you.

Bands of moderate to heavy rain will spread northward overnight across areas generally along and west of I-35 as the remnants of Hermine move north slowly. The heaviest rain will fall from Killeen to Stephenville...Jacksboro and Fort Worth where rates of 1 to 3 inches an hour are possible.
Flash flooding will remain a problem overnight and may occur anywhere west of Cameron to Dallas and Sherman line. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect along and west of a line from Hearne...to Waxahachie...to Sherman overnight.
Sympathys FRiend.... Albeit I’m in the panhandle waiting for your rain to get here we got 17 inches in about 5 hours in early July.....real mess for our area.

We got a lot of rain in Highland Village today but no flooding yet.
I don’t mind the rain. It’s the flash flooding that bothers me. :)

Rained almost all day long in Houston, but no major flooding that I’ve heard of. It was nice to get some rain, but I think we’ve had enough for the time being.
Just south of San Antonio here. My tank received a lot of beneficial water, but there comes a time for it to stop. Between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm, I lost a huge pecan tree plus another smaller one. It just stopped raining a few minutes ago. The radar showed a disturbing training situation.
I’m in Richardson...lots of heavy rain, but in 26+ years have never been flooded and things look OK for now.
Yikes. I have over two hundred large oaks on my property. I hope I don’t lose any. When I moved to Texas 20+ years ago, it took me months to figure out what a tank was. I thought y’all were crazy for a while. Oh and everything was a Coke. What kinda Coke do you want? I’ll have a Dr. Pepper.

In Kennedale here.......no serious flash flooding as of now. Wait and see what the morning brings.
I live on a creek and in the Spring of ‘07 we almost had to evacuate if anyone else remembers the water we had that year.
Nothing like that at the moment. Thoughts out to those who are having a rough go of it, though.....
It’s pouring here (North Dallas), but we’re on higher ground — about 20 feet higher than average. The roads are rivers, though.

A “tank” is what all the foreigners call a “pond.” To me, a “pond” is just a small catch just wet enough where you might get a lilly-pad to pop-up or find a family of crawdads. It’s not a large, earthen water retention construction.....that’s a “tank.”
And yes, all sweet and carbonated drinks are “Cokes”. Just depends on the flavor you want.....7-Up, RC, Pepsi, Big Orange. They’re all “Cokes.”
