Yikes. I have over two hundred large oaks on my property. I hope I don’t lose any. When I moved to Texas 20+ years ago, it took me months to figure out what a tank was. I thought y’all were crazy for a while. Oh and everything was a Coke. What kinda Coke do you want? I’ll have a Dr. Pepper.
A “tank” is what all the foreigners call a “pond.” To me, a “pond” is just a small catch just wet enough where you might get a lilly-pad to pop-up or find a family of crawdads. It’s not a large, earthen water retention construction.....that’s a “tank.”
And yes, all sweet and carbonated drinks are “Cokes”. Just depends on the flavor you want.....7-Up, RC, Pepsi, Big Orange. They’re all “Cokes.”
I have a SIL from White Plains who swore she’d never say “fixin to” after she moved here. Took her about 10 years.
