Gotta add the keyword "banglist" to reach the FR shooting community. And Da Rulz Sez that you must post a gun porn pic of any gun you're vanityin' about.

Springfield XD 9mm?
Yes, I’ve probably put somewhere between 500 and 2000 rounds through mine, and it has proven very reliable, easy to maintain and clean. It is pretty accurate, as I consistently group 2 full magazines (32 rounds) within a 2 or 3 inch radius of the bullseye at 15 to 25 feet. My accuracy when I stretch that out to 15 yards is not quite as good, but the gun is still accurate enough that at 15 yards I still keep everything within the black on a silhouette target +/- 5 or 6 inches from the center “X”.

As for stopping power, that will depend on what kind of round you use, but it has pretty easily punched through every piece of paper that has come at it, along with the plywood the paper was mounted on.

Tha looks like the XD-9 Subcompact. A sweet gun. My dad has one of those and it was VERY accurate at 15 to 25 feet.

I guess I should have read more carefully. The original post asked about the XD9 SC.

I have the standard XD9, and I’m very happy with it. It is a little bulky for concealed carry but with the right inside the waistband conceal carry holster that won’t be a problem. The XD9-SC is probably even better for concealed carry, and my dad’s SC shoots just as well as standard XD.

I like the extended mag (15 rounds) which makes the grip fit my hand more like the standard XD.

I carry a bi-tone (stainless/black) sc9mm on my hip every day in a Bianchi Carry-lock. I love my gun’s compact nature, accuracy, safety, and (most of all) capacity.
You will hear many put down the 9mm, but if the poop ever hits the fan, the .40 and .45 ammo will be harder to find. A good +P round will get the job done and still leave a few rounds in the clip.
I have fired over 2500 rounds without one jam and only 2 mis-fires (from some crappy Egyptian shells). Springfield’s weapon is a simple, but very well thought out design that will give you years of safe service.

Are you referring to the 2.4 TeV proton rifle?

Everyone should have at least one 9mm, for the reasons QDaddy says.

But for me everyday piece, I like a little bit more oomph.

.40 is a great combination of capacity and stopping power.

.45 has a sterling record. It makes big holes.

If you do prefer 9mm as your everyday piece, practice your head shots.

It’s a very good pistol.

They do make a XDM 40SW 3.8” which has more stopping power & is still somewhat compact.

I drove one of those once.

Great handling but the breaks were a bit soft.

E.R. Doctors have lots of experience treating 9mm wounds. .45, not so much. Just sayin’

I've shot a friend's in .45 ACP and it seemed like a fine pistol though I prefer single action or traditional double action.

9mm stopping power is what it is, doesn't matter the platform.

Anyone know what gun Jack Bauer uses? That’s the one I want. It never misses. With the exception of vehicles moving away at high speed.

While I don't own that particular model I do own an SA XD-45 Compact. In my experience it's an outstanding pistol and I vastly preferred it to the Glocks I tested before buying it.

Some here will disagree with my choice but I think that at the price point this weapon sells for you can't do a whole lot better.

I’d really like one of those for my CZ-82. Getting those last two rounds into the magazine is a cast iron b****.
