-—”After the age of 45, it goes to being 1 in 100. THAT’S BAD!!!”-—

99-1 odds of a “good” outcome is “risky?”
Wow.

If he roasts the sweet potatoes on a charcoal grill, you have no worries.

If he uses propane-—buy a layette.

Only kidding you!

I do a bit of genealogical research. In America's early days, it was not uncommon for a woman to begin motherhood at 21 and finish somewhere when menopause kicked in. The average number of children was from 5 to 12 children per family.

That is how our country was initially populated.

I had Sassy at 41 yrs old & I was high risk due to my own health issues. Not my age. Sassy was born perfect & now 10 yrs later is still the blessing of our lives. I pray John & Kelly have a healthy baby who will bring much happiness to their lives.

My Grandmother who was the sweetest person you could imagine was a tiny girl. She had 13 children. They lost their first baby at age 1 and mourned him the rest of their life. The rest lived long lives.

Her first one was back in the 1800s and I guess the last was in the late 30s. When she died her last words were of that baby she lost.

Worst case scenario is 1 in 25 chance of having a child with trisomy 21.

I've always wondered: does it make any difference if the child is the first child the woman has had or the tenth?

My late grandmother was that way about “little Vi,” Viola. She came into this world and left it in 1921. Ninety years old when she died herself, and never forgot, still grieved quietly on certain special days, even though she was a jolly, busy woman who had no time for self-pity, otherwise, in herself or anybody else.

You mean in her 70s, don’t you? She’s 57 and she’ll be 70 when the child is 13.

The article says that Preston is 47, which means she'd be 60 when the child is 13. It is Travolta who is 56.

According to my Aunt and my Mother as she was dying she said she could see Jesus waiting for her and he had that baby beside him.

Not sure if she really saw that or was delirious but it was on her mind anyway.

Thank you. Sassy is home schooled & loves to go to tea parties. She is on my profile in her tea party dress & carrying the sign she made. She has plenty of opinions on everything.

That’s a beautiful daughter you got there! You have to be proud of her.

She looks to be about the same age as my eldest daughter. I already have a mean looking shotgun setup and ready for a ‘living room cleaning display’ if she ever brings any boys to the house. So far, she has no interest at all in boys. She’s all about animals and all things science. My wife and I pray she’ll remain a geek, at least for a few more years.

My wife was in her early forties when she had Baby Chan. Three years later, she and he remain practically perfect in every way.

Thank you! You sound like Sassy’s daddy! We are praying she stays in love with horses for a long time. Since she is taller then the neighborhood boys & can out run & out climb them we think we are safe for awhile. Good luck with your daughter & that is a great plan. I think boys are going to be very scared of Joe & visit once. Not to mention her older brothers who are super protective.

If she's 47, I'd say it's almost certainly from a donor egg.

Absolutely untrue. A lot of women are still quite capable of getting pregnant at that age.

Well we have no kids and have been married 24 years so it really would be a surprise at 49 but OTOH it isn’t impossible yet?

"You sound like Sassy’s daddy!"

From looking at the pics, he don't need a shotgun! lol He's a helluva lot bigger than I am.
