Savard is their leader.
Philly was without Jeff Carter for the whole series. You know: Carter, better than Krecji, case closed.
Was Bucky freaking Dent on the ice? Bill Buckner in the crease?
Close. The Bruins took a “too many men” penalty, late in the third period (remember 1979 against Montreal) and Philly scored on the PP.
sigh from a casual Bruins fan. Choke (tm), official soft drink of the Boston Bruins
Dude we lost our leading scorer in the last series. No Carter,3rd string goalie, and a hurt Gagne.
um, did you see any Habs games at all? Habs beat the Caps and the Pens? let’s not get carried away with the Flyers in the finals now. and i say that as a diehard Caps fan.
Proof that everything evens out in the end, after the Sox’ miracle comeback against the Yanks.
Well, I’ll acceptyour conclusion and then extend to that Coach my sincere Thanks for giving Us Flyers Fans a Very Big Gift! Thank you muchly BRUINS for the Royal CHOKE!
and what point does that support?
The Bruins were not that good of a team once they lost their top guy.
Yeah I thought about that and you have to favor the Habs with thoer goalie. However, a couple of years ago the Flyers pretty much crushed the Habs in 5 games. So we’ll see who has any gas in their tanks on sunday.
well and the Caps have crushed the Habs, FLyers and Pens all season long this year, but couldn’t get past Halak in the final game. Habs finished up a few days before the Flyers, guess we will see what happens. if i was betting $, i would bet on the Habs.
Man, I missed it! I went camping this weekend (couldn’t back out, Scouts).
I’ve been catching up ever since I came home this afternoon.
What a game that must have been.
Now I see the Flyers are up 4-0 on the Habs.
GO FLYERS!!!
I’m a longtime Flyers fan also. Tonight’s win seemed too easy. The Flyers have a definite size advantage over the Habs and it showed tonite. The biggest confidence builder for me coming out of tonight was a statement by Montreal’s coach. When asked what they had to do to comeback, he paused and then replied: “we have to let the puck do the work.”
I’m no expert, but I’ve been involved in Hockey for over 30 years and I have no idea what that means except maybe that this coach has no answer.
GO FLYERS!!
I saw some really strong play from the Flyers except for the giveaway to Scott Gomez who then promptly got stonewalled.
So even then, the Flyers were strong.
GO FLYERS!
