I dislike Mother’s Day because, in spite of all the words and (possibly) flowers, it boils down to, “Another day for you to serve us, Mom. Where are my jeans? That’s not what I wanted for breakfast.”
This is what I signed up for, but please don’t pretend you’re “celebrating” me while I do everything for you.
Sounds like your chilluns need some lessons on respecting and appreciating their mother. It is something that needs to be taught; it does not come naturally, as children are selfish by nature. I urge you to sit them down and calmly explain these things to them.
