What a bitter liberal. They are out to destroy all our cultural institutions.

The article at: Salon.com should have included the bolded and underlined part;
(Meanwhile, we know the worst, skeeviest, most evil people in the world are CEOs and politicians and Salon.com writers with psychological issues who are proud parents.)

I guess I never viewed Mothers Day as sticking it to women who don’t have kids. By this kind of view of the world we can’t celebrate anything because there will always be people excluded from whatever group wants to celebrate something. The only saving grace to this kind of thinking would be maybe we’d finally be rid of a bunch of liberal PC crap to have to tolerate ‘celebrating’.
I also never thought of moms or women in general being superior beings to anyone else. They are flawed people just like the rest of us. We can all still appreciate the positive ldeals of motherhood even though no mother can live upto those ideals. They still celebrate what motherhood should be even when they know they haven’t always been the best.

I would off myself if my soul was that black. She sounds like a blackhole of human emotion.

She’s looking for offense where there is none so she can play the victim. I agree, some serious issues there.

Ann needs to go find her meds. She is definitely having some issues on this Mother’s Day weekend. Her Father’s Day rant should be a real winner!

Quite the amazing article.
The bitter fruit of a radical feminist who is confusing her Marxist egalitarian ideology with the reality of nature.
Motherhood is a gift of God.

Ann Lammott says of Mother’s Day:
“It celebrates the great lie about women: That those with children are more important than those without”
I never perceived it this way. I’ve always thought it was a day to stand in amazement and gratitude for the sacrifices that mothers make out of love and duty.

I suppose the author would have a point if there were no such thing as Fathers’ Day.

I find it strange that the schools celebrate mothers day and fathers day is in the summer and is generally not celebrated.
