Obama takes immigration reform off agenda

WASHINGTON – Immigration reform has become the first of President Barack Obama's major priorities dropped from the agenda of an election-year Congress facing voter disillusionment. Sounding the death knell was Obama himself.

The president noted that lawmakers may lack the "appetite" to take on immigration while many of them are up for re-election and while another big legislative issue — climate change — is already on their plate.

"I don't want us to do something just for the sake of politics that doesn't solve the problem," Obama told reporters Wednesday night aboard Air Force One.

However, the big money men in charge of Bambi could not have been happy when he suddenly abandoned their $10 Trillion cap and trade shake down scheme to pursue new Democrap voters with amnesty. They had Ms. Lindsay Graham and the old biddies from Maine on the hook and Dear Leader released him by suddenly changing the subject to amnesty.

Obama is manic. He knows his time for “transforming” American into a sink hole is short.

Exactly right. However, he isn’t dropping it. He will get Cap and Trade passed next, deal w/his Supreme Court nominee during mid-summer, and will go for the Immigration Bill in the lame duck session right after the election in November. It’s merely delayed, not forgotten.

obummer pulled a fast one on the nation this week. He has us totally focusing on the AZ law and forgetting about their second newest law - Candidates must show the COB if they want to be on their ballot.

Imagine if Obama, Pelosi, Reid are currently drafting bills for immigration, Cap and Trade, the VAT, DC statehood, Puerto Rico statehood, and “emergency” powers for the President. The day after the November elections, win or loose, the Democrat representatives are called to Washington and in a matter of a few hours pass this legislation and Obama signs it before enough Republican Senators can get to Washington to filibuster. Obama then uses his emergency powers to disband the legislature.
