There’s a lot that I don’t understand about where our society has gone, but the lower back tattoo thing is pretty close to the top of that list. It’s called a Tramp Stamp, right? Oh, yeah, I gotta get me one of them.

Some call it a “Tramp Stamp”, others call it a “target.”

Just imagine how all those females’ body piercings are going to degrade in a couple of decades - along with the sagging tattoos & fading colors.

So much for women trying to keep up with the guys.

I’m just glad my generation limited decorative prints to fabric.

I don’t think Jesse James line of tramps may not look so hot to him in about 20 years.....

You have to wonder - when those tattoos merge into great big liver spots, all over the body!!!

Bad when I was young and dumb, I wanted to get a tiny, “tasteful” tatoo. My mom responded perfectly, “No matter where you get it, someday it will sag.”

I am so very happily tatoo free. Thanks Mom!

Talked to a girl. She was spending a grand to get rid of $20 tats.

I can understand getting one little tiny tattoo - peer pressure.

What I cannot understand is getting a full body branding. Heck we can’t stand to wear the same outfit every day, much less for a lifetime.

Next thing up for socialized medicine *SKIN TRANSPLANTS*.

I went through that with my son. A wrestler in High School. My wife said if he got one (you know the barbew wire thing on the arm) she would remove his manhood. LOL Well we went through the ear ring thing. He played football in college and got tired of putting it in and taking it out. So you have to pick your battles.

Ha. You wanna see some hideous tattoos? Watch the NCAA tournament. Some guy had what looked like wings on his shoulders. But the “best” ones are the guys who have homemade tattoos- the kind you get in prison. They have them up and down their arms and even on their neck. It’s almost like a contest to prove who’s the biggest dumb-ass.

I said this craze had gone too far when Angelina Jolie, to show her undying love for her future ex-boyfriend, had “Billy Bob” tattooed on her left bicep. (What, the local artist didn’t have a design of an anchor to go with it?)
But every generation has had to have some visual way of differentiating themselves from their parents, pompadour haircuts, or the outlandish clothing of the 60’s, or the punk look of the 80’s, etc. And along with the young there will always be the pathetic older people trying to imitate the latest youth fad to show they’re hip and cool, too. A good example of that is Janeane Garfalo with more tattoos than a Yakuza member.
But this is the first time I can think of that the young have branded themselves to show their independence. And unlike hair that can be restyled or earrings and studs that can be removed, that now-fading design is going to be with you until you pay beaucoup $’s to have it removed. And this craze WILL fade out. The children of people with tattoos will want to separate themselves from their parents, and since the media worships the young image whatever youth uses to demonstrate their independence will be the new “hip”, and tattoos will be looked upon as the “poodle skirts” of the previous generation. Sort of “Quaint, but who would want to wear one nowadays?”
So enjoy your present cool appearance now, because all fads change and fade, except for that tattoo of a flaming dragon still on your back and starting to show it age...

I think women are born with tattoos these days, aren’t they?
