San Francisco, CA -- According to the non-partisan Field Poll, 57 year old Tom Campbell has a six point lead in his effort to defeat California Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer.

Campbell has 28 percent of the vote as compared to 22 percent for former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. Assemblyman Chuck DeVore has but nine percent support.

At the same time 40 percent of the Republicans polled have yet to make a decision on who they will vote for November 8.

On the flip-side Boxer may in for the race of her life according to the poll which shows both Campbell and Fiorina in a dead heat with her for the state's junior senatorial seat.

According to the Sacramento Bee, Poll Director Mark DeCamillo comments, "It's clear the tenor of political discourse has changed in California since Republican Scott Brown pulled off an upset victory in the Massachusetts Senate race in January." And he added, "It's not if the Democrats will lose Congressional seats in November, it's how many."

Rasmussen shows Campbell pulling to within 2 points of Boxer, 43 - 41.

Is this Campbell running to the left, or to the right of Boxer? It would seem unlikely that someone could out “liberal” Babs Boxer.

I remember from last time that Boxer can be a viscious, nasty, mud-slinging, bi#@h in the final days of an election. I hope they all know that, and prepare for it now. She’ll do anything.

I believe that all 3 can handle whatever BB has to offer.

Devore is the best alternative of the three, by far.

But I'll go with whomever I need to to get that obnoxious marxist yenta out of my face.

I agree. Devore is by far the best of the lot. He has my support.

Considering Campbell’s record, his voting will likely be like Lincoln Chaffee (i.e., to the left of EVERY RINO you can name, and to the left of most Democrats).

Given that (i.e., essentially the same voting pattern as Boxer), I MUCH PREFER to see Boxer re-elected, as Campbell will simply serve to break Republican unity on key issues like Health Care...where Boxer will vote the same, but NOT provide the Democrats cover.

He is a SICK man.

I’m voting ABB. Anybody But Boxer. I’ve got my primary druthers, but I’d vote for Charles Manson over Boxer.

Yes, I’ll support whichever of the 3 wins. I am confident that they will defeat Boxer.
