An investigation has been launched into the death of a 13-year-old schoolgirl amid claims she hanged herself after being bullied because she was pretty. Poppy Bracey was found in her bedroom last week after returning home from her Manchester school. The teenager was taken to hospital but later died. Council officials said today they are looking into allegations Poppy was being bullied in the run up to the death.
Friends at 1,000-pupil Lowton High School, in Leigh, posted a series of messages on internet sites claiming Poppy was being picked on. One, at the specialist sports college where former pupils include Ting Tings singer Katie White, said: 'This poor girl was apparently being bullied at Lowton High School and has sadly ended her own life by hanging herself.' Another said: 'Why would someone want to bully her?? Apart from jealousy.'

Well, then, I’m definately uninformed.
Made up like a streetwalker.
Were there bushes in the garage?
You tell me, after all, you were there.
Since you see and know everything answer this...
Traci Lords was 16 and she was #1 in her profession...at 16. Not when she started, when she was the top draw.
How old do you think she was when she started out? Or is she “unreal” too?
Another question...Why are so many “people” on this site such A-holes?
Seems every time I read comments on this site, regardless of topic, some no nothing smart aleck punk like wankerKC sticks his foot in his big mouth.
What IS it with you, man?
Another question:
Who asked you...anything? Or do you just run your big know-nothing mouth and insult people you don’t know anything about to get attention?
Yeah, that’s it.
Mind your own business, man.
But if kids don’t go to government school, they’ll miss out on socialization.
Why are so many people on this site such A-holes?
You don't have to stay, man.
You've posed 6 questions thus far, bro.
After telling my parents I wanted to be homeschooled, they made me go to a public school. Bullied nonstop in tenth grade to the point where permanent damage was done to my GPA and I was blamed for it. I am so not going to my high school reunion.
One on one is fine, 4 or more one one isn’t. Usually if you stood up for yourself then that was okay but there was always a bigger friend or relative who you could call in to deal with the situation.
I was small in HS. Freshman year I was 5’ and 96 lbs. Not much bigger now. lol But I dealt with 3. I told the story in post 65.
You should....
You wait in the parking lot with a bat
If you want people to believe far-fetched unlikely stories on the internet...perhaps you shouldn’t react so defensively.
lol...mind your own business? This is a public forum, goofus. If you post it here, it is the public’s business.
You’re like a woman wearing revealing clothing who only wants men she approves of to leer at her. Nope, sorry, you let your junk hang out and we all saw it.
Dreadful. RIP.
Too bad nobody picks on Chuckie Schumer.
I was the little kid with big glasses and the speech impediment. I got jumped by the ‘biggest bully’ in the school.
Funny thing, he grabbed me and I grabbed his chain. He tried to spin me around and broke his own chain.
Then I got up and walked away while he was bent over picking up the remnant.
Never had any bully problems before or after. I also credit my Irish temper. Sure comes in handy sometimes!
I love stories like this.
My son was slightly bullied (just verbal) by a kid in school. Luckily was at a “choice” school so more teacher involvement. Our son attempted (with our help) to verbaly diffuse the situation but it didn’t happen. He also said a lot of prayers for the kid.
We went to the teacher and told her, and the next day she had the boy and both parents in for a talk. (She had noticed his possible harrasment with other kids too, but nobody said anything). She said if it happens again, he goes to regular school. It never did happen again.
The boy never knew it was our son that snitched, and they are best friends now!
My 12-year old daughter was being picked on at school for a few days. Finally had enough as she tried to walk away from the bully and he kept teasing her. She saw a pencil on the ground, picked it up and turned around and stabbed the kid in the arm. Blood and crying and everything. He stopped bullying her too. (Public school, my daughter got a slight talking to by the principal.) Different tools for different situations. I didn’t even try to control my laughing when I said “Now you know - it’s not okay to stab kids if they are just teasing you.”
We have had conversations about suicide as well. (Along with the drugs, sex, etc.)
There is obviously more to this story BTTT
