'Miss Me Yet?' Billboard With Photo Of Bush Is Real; Not An Internet Trick
NPR ^ | 2/08 2010 | Mark Memmott

Posted on 02/08/2010 6:53:20 PM PST by Kryn-Man

Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth -- nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading via the Web.

But our friend Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assures us he's seen it with his own eyes:

There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: "Miss Me Yet?"

Now, the push is on to find out who paid to have it put up.

Bob says there's no readily apparent claim of ownership on the billboard, so he's heading back to the scene to see if he can find out who's behind the message. He's also got some local politicos looking into it. He'll keep us posted.

At first glance, it would seem to be from some person or group who isn't thrilled by President Barack Obama's performance so far -- unless it's a more ironic message from those who didn't think too much of Bush and want to remind voters about him.

Anyone out there know anything about where it came from? Tell us and we'll pass the word to Bob. As he says, we could do a little crowdsourcing.

"Now, the push is on to find out who paid to have it put up. "

Why? Why is it your business? Because you're a vindictive liberal jerk?

Absolutely not! My gosh. RINO Bush is one the reasons we are in the mess we are in today as a country. Never should we ever make the mistake again of electing any RINO like Bush, McCane, Snowe, Dole, or Spector again. If they don’t share a Constitutionalist ideology then I don’t want them ever in office whether that person be Democrat or Republican.

Let me guess. Ron Paul?

I'd vote for Ron Paul. I'd vote for Sarah Palin. I'd vote for Tancredo. I'd vote for Duncan Hunter. I'd vote for anybody that is a true Constitutionalist.

I'd most certainly never vote for another Bush. I'd never vote for McCain. I'd never vote for Charlie Crist. I'd never vote any RINO or anybody that doesn't use the Constitution as their Bible for governance. A RINO is more dangerous than a socialist because people begin to use them as the standard bearer or counterbalance to socialism whereas a socialist will show through right away. At least with Obama, the enemy is visible and isn't hidden in sheep's clothing. It's because of a socialist (like Obama) being visible that we are about to make the gains for Constitutionalism that we are going to make this year.

“At least with Obama, the enemy is visible and isn’t hidden in sheep’s clothing. “

So you support Obama over someone more conservative. OK. That’s all we need to know.

A friend of mine that passes that way everyday told me about it about a week ago. It seemed appropriate to me for this neck of the woods, There are still Republicans in Minnesota, ya know.

So you support Obama over someone more conservative. OK. That’s all we need to know.

You tell me where we'd be if McCain had been elected. We'd be having a major in-party civil war with no end in sight and we'd still have exactly what Obama is proposing now (except no resistance to it because we'd be led, de facto, by McCain). Also, everything leftward that McCain would do would be used against Constitutionalism because they would say, "Even (republican) McCain supports this!" Another Bush or any RINO would have been disastrous to our country; Obama has shown the other side of things and is responsible for the resurgence of - not just the right - but America as it was founded. Only because we aren't being led by a RINO are we rising up and taking our country back in a fervor I've never witnessed in my 33 years of life.

A wolf in sheep's clothing is more dangerous than a wolf undisguised. A molester hidden within the family is more dangerous than a stranger. A thief disguised as a friend is more dangerous than a thief you don't know. All of these analogies are true because it's better to have an enemy that comes out immediately as such than to have an enemy that you don't recognize as such. I'll never vote for socialism lite again, nor will I vote for a socialist. I will vote third party because Socialism lite can be worse than the socialist that shocks America like Obama has done. Socialism lite is like a cancer that causes little pain; you won't take care of it because it's tolerable although it's still killing you. But a painful cancer will make you take action and thus save your life. Because of the painful cancer, Obama, America is ready to elect true Constitutionalists and do what wouldn't have happened had the less painful cancer, McCain, been allowed to take hold.

Regarding President Bush, my perception is that he was a terrific CIC, kept the country safe and who loved and was loved by our men and women in uniform. Not true?
