Schumer's book no page-turner
New York Post ^ | 01/17/2010 | Richard Johnson

Politicos are snickering at the plight of Sen. Charles Schumer, who holds more press conferences than any other lawmaker but can't seem to connect with the public. His book, "Positively American," released in 2007, sold 9,000 copies in hardcover and fewer than 1,000 in paperback, according to Nielsen Bookscan, which tracks about 75 percent of the nation's book sales. By comparison, Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue" sold 1 million copies in two weeks. Quipped one political insider, "His book sales seem to mirror the pathetic poll numbers of his hand-puppet Senator Kirsten Gillibrand."

The words “positive” and “American” have never been associated with this hack so no wonder Manhattan liberals were confused.

This is prime example of why the Left fears and loathes Sarah Palin. She is connects with people and is very popular.

"Positively American,"

That's laughable!

Black is white, night is day, right is wrong. Where do these people come from?

I have intensely analyzed Harry Reid’s book, and it is full of half stories. I hope these guy keep writing, they give clues.

Chuck Schumer makes Martha Coakley look like a hero. Schumer is the most entitled, special-interest supported politician from the most corrupt blue state in the nation.

I know. I live there.

Saying nobody likes Chuck Schumer is like saying Adolf Hitler was misunderstood. Chuck the Schmuck (in the literal Yiddish meaning of the word) is the moral equivalent of the Jews that led their brethren into the gas chambers in exchange for being spared themselves.

My Senator for Life. The fact that registered members of the Republican and “Conservative” parties voted for this cretin last time tells you all you need to know about how pathetic the opposition is in my home state. You should have seen how much sucking up James Molinaro (Conservative Party-backed Borough President of Staten Italy) did to Chuck when a local evangelical church had the stones to hammer Chucky on abortion via a sign on their lawn.

I can't imagine living north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Heck, I can't imagine living north of the FL-GA border!

Take heart. If Scott Brown can win there is hope that sneering bastard Schumer can be thrown out.

I’m in the woods of south central PA, with a trout stream in my back yard. Six miles from the nearest town. I can’t imagine not living in the country.

We get all 4 seasons here, but right now we’re experiencing the “ ‘PA Farm Show’ January thaw”. IOW, cold rain.

I’d rather have snow than this cold rain.

That sneering bastard will never leave the public teat until he’s dead, just like Kennedy.

The Down-staters have us outnumbered. There are more of them than there are of all of us in north/central/western NYS.

Nope. Schumer is a walking magnet for Wall Street/Hedge Fund cash, and has wide support among the well-organized and politically active Jewish population in the state (Jewish Freepers being the major exception).

However, Schumer would NOT be in power without the votes of huge swathes of white CATHOLICS (who are the largest block of votes in New York state, and greatly outnumber Jews, Hispanics, and blacks). Most of these folks have very little political consciousness, and merely pull the lever for whoever their neighbors vote for or who their union tells them to. It also screws us that the GOP and the "Conservative" party are scared sh-tless of Chuck's personal machine, and have nobody with the cash or organization to take him out, with the exception of Bloomberg (Rudy would never dare take on Schumer, as many of his financial supporters in the past have told him that they would back Chucky over him).

I guess PA was even colder but rural middle TN just had coldest 3 weeks I have ever seen in my 52 years mostly in Dixie.

Folks ice climbing rock walls on Monteagle pass and kids playing on cow ponds with ice 10-14 inches thick...basically did not get over 25 for 18 days and had some snow for several days

now back to cold rain like you said
