Wow, you carry an amazing amount of anger and negative baggage, it was a nasty thing for you to jump on someone for not pinging you to a post that had nothing to do with you, and then to go off on the person and refuse to apologize for your mistake.

I remember reading about this meeting. Let me tell you something as a Mormon myself. This man, Rex Rammell, is guilty of appointing himself with self-importance. He is guilty of PRIDE.

Now, everyone is entitled to their own opininon. It’s true that there is a Mormon prophecy that is very specific in regards to the United States Constitution, in that the “Elders of Israel” (members of the LDS/Mormon church) would ‘step forth and save the Constitution from destruction’.

That does NOT mean that Mormons are planning or have any intention of an overthrow of the Federal Government. What this does mean (in my opinion) is that eventually, the Federal Government will COLLAPSE. Fully. Financially, militarily, you name it. C’mon people, the handwriting is on the wall. We all see it.

When this event happens, it will create chaos on the American continent like nothing you’ve ever seen. New Orleans x 1,000,000. Pillaging. Murder. Rape. Basically the worst parts of the Bible (yes, we Mormon’s do beleive in the Bible, sigh....)

We mormons have been admonished for YEARS to get together a ONE YEAR’S SUPPLY OF FOOD/MEDICINES/NECESSITIES for our individual families for a ‘future time of need’. It’s my beleif that the coming governmental collapse, and the aftermath, will be the primary reason for this commandment we are supposed to be obedient in following. Those of us who are no obedient...will likely perish. Tough luck, eh? Well......we have been warned.

The whole thing about saving the Constitution is just that; when these events happen, it’s my beleif (shared by many others as well) that many Mormons, and like-minded freedom-loving people of other faiths, will gather in a place of safety and set up a system of order. These will be people who will retain their faith in God and their saviour despite the hardships that are coming. There will also be those who will find their faith during these times and will come to see the events unfolding as a ‘just punishment upon the world by a just God’.

We beleive that we will in fact step forth and save the Constitution. How will we do this?

Will we save the Federal government from the inevitable collapse? No.

Will we put together a team of some kind and rescue the actual, physical original document that is the U.S. Constitution? I personally don’t think so, although this could be done obviously.

We will form a new government from the people who will populate this future ‘place of safety’ and the BASIS for governance will be....the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. Specifically, in its’ ORIGINAL FORM. That is, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights - the first Ten Ammendments. Chances are there will be plenty of reference materials available to ensure it’s re-written properly, and I’m sure there will be ammendments added in addition to the first ten that more fully spell out our proper freedoms as we see them today - by that I mean the right of all people over the age of 18 to vote regardless of sex, race, sexual orientation, etc. I would see that as a potential ‘eleventh ammendment’ to the new Constitution.

Once the Constitution is re-written (word for word up to the end of the Tenth Ammendment) I’m sure this new document will be signed by a number of leaders in this new community and will be duly protected as the founding document for the new American Nation that will ultimately replace the United States after the Fall.

But then again that’s my point of view.

You do have to remember, though....the power of the Constitution is not the actual original document itself.

It’s what’s IN THE DOCUMENT.

And THAT, my friends, is what will be saved. The IDEALS of the Constitution. The SPIRIT of the Constitution. The exact WORDING of the original Constitution.

NOT the original document.

And NOT the dying Federal Government.
