A man has made his first appearance before a court in North Wales charged with the murder of 20-year-old who died following a snowball fight.
Oliver Michael Taylor, 19, is accused of stabbing to death Anthony Finbar Burke, 20, in Clos y Berllan, at Rhuddlan, near Rhyl on Wednesday night.
Taylor, of Rhuddlan, Denbighshire, appeared before a special session of Llandudno Magistrates Court dressed in a black jacket and white open-necked shirt.
He spoke only to confirm his name, age and address, during the four-minute hearing.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court on 30th December.
Mr Burke died in Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, on Wednesday night from knife wounds to his stomach. An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned.
Binging a knife to a snowball fight. Sounds like Chicago.
Trying to read all those welsh place-names makes my head hurt.
Lesson here is obvious, never bring a snowball to a knife fight.
They were arguing over the correct pronunciation of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch.
