GARY -- An angry parent is accused of attacking a fourth-grade Beveridge Elementary School teacher with a stapler Thursday while her students watched.
Police arrested Kimberlyn Woodson shortly after the 2:30 p.m. incident. She was taken to the Lake County Jail and faces assault charges, according to Gary Community School Corp. spokeswoman Sarita Stevens.
Woodson entered the school, located at 1234 Cleveland St., from an unlocked rear door, Stevens said.

I’ll bet she was an Amish gal.
They still havent disclosed what the disciplinary tactics were that the teacher had used. Could have been anything from standing in the corner to being kicked out of the school talent show or worse. But it’s a missing piece of the story.
“Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler...”
A couple pieces (and there were two reporterettes)
Guilty!!
Oh, wait...
Woodson entered the school, located at 1234 Cleveland St., from an unlocked rear door, Stevens said.<<<<<<<
Geez, we used to never have locked schools, and parents were welcome to stop by anytime. Thanks to our liberal educators and liberal societal values, we must lock our children in buildings to keep the safe from other kids and, now, parents. I used to walk into my kids’ schools anytime I needed to visit and was welcomed. It never dawned on anyone that I might be a predator.
I attempted to visit my elementary school (nostalgia trip) and wasn’t allowed into the building.
Buzzer at front door. If you don’t have a child or an appointment, school business ....(we don’t give tours).
Like you, things sure had changed.
