Lets face it, the guy is trying to brand himself and it aint working. At least for me. But if it works for you, ok. LOL! Get real. The guy sells out 20 and 30,000 seat venues doing cooking demonstrations! It's working.

I have Bourdains book. He is an arrogant Pr**k.
I love to cook. I must have 100 cookbooks. None of them have a recipe for brain sugery, but lately they are treated as if they can do it. "I don't see your personality in this dish" Gimme a break. How does it taste. Cook and shut up.

Sorry, but Giada has all the culinary chops of the average McDonald's employee. Which, to me, puts her in the same category as Fieri.

So relax. either he is your cup of tea or he isn’t. Hardly worth getting excited over

There is one thing which comes through very clearly wiht the places Guy visits: all the places are run by small business people who have pride in their work, their business, their value to the community. There are no SEIU slugs holding job spots for a paycheck and with no pride in workmanship, just real small business owners and workers doing their best to get it done for their customers, with pride. ... So anti-obamaesque don’tchaknow.

Exactly. That stuff. What the heck is that anyway...I mean geez.
You can’t possibly feel full after eating that $30 plate of nothingness.

His show is basic cooking with the “whys” behind it.

I guess each person has different tastes. I like Guy and pretty much everyone else on the channel, even Alton, though I hate his stupid gimmicks and skits.
My wife thinks Alton is pretentious and hates him, as well as Emeril for some reason. Yet, she loves Rachael Ray (hard to say she’s even on the channel anymore though), Giada, Sandra Lee, Paula, Guy etc.

I don’t spend sleepless nights over it. Cooking is my hobby. He isn’t someone I’d look to.

A T is still a T and and R is still an R in any romance language.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6yGBp0Sb1I
As an example, check out the pronunciation of cantare at 1:27... The difference between the 'T' and the 'R' is quite subtle.
