The ruins of Detroit, Mt. Clemens, Saginaw and Pontiac are all shooting sites.

I hope this one is more on the nose regarding gun control.

Detroit is a wonderful place to make movies, as long as you are filming a post-apocalyptic story.

If an explosion goes off in a city, and no one lives there, did it really happen?

I doubt it would cause much of a stir. Just another gang event

Film crews for the 'Red Dawn' remake were in downtown Detroit yesterday, filming an explosion scene.

Authorities estimate the explosion caused ten million dollars worth of improvements.

Let me guess... instead of the Soviet Red Army, the “enemy” this time will be marauding evangelical, pro-life, pro-American Christians.

Nope, it’s the ChiComs, from what I heard. Want to bet though that the reason they invade is “climate change”?

It’s actually the Russians and the Chinese..but making the Wolverines into urban guerrillas just doesn’t work for me.

Anyhow, for more on the movie:

It makes more sense than the original in which all these foreign troops were stationed way out in the middle of nowhere.

Not a re-make but a revision. Like today’s “text books.”

At the conclusion to the filming of “Apocalypse Now”, Francis Ford Coppola had the decency to destroy the entire final set with glorious explosions.

Just sayin’.

They are filming in Michigan, so I wonder if they will be using Michigan Wolverines this time instead of the high school version.

The troops were in the rural areas because the urban areas were bombed into oblivion.
