Not sure how the US can control any world wide resource, like the internet, but the fact they would even try should tell every American something.

There’s nothing this admin doesn’t want to destroy.
Somehow the right needs to make a Big Deal out of how much this administration keeps on trying to change and change in a hurry.
The point is to get regular folk to notice and dramatically swell the number of GOP/conservative voters in 2010 so that there are checks and balances in the system again.
