I’ve seen the pro Polanski documentary on HBO and I got the drift the girl says her parents knew they were leaving her in this kind of situation and she was into this whhole scene as a kid so it wasn’t surprising what happened.
I know it was statutory rape, it wasn’t clear that she was actually forced or drugged into doing anything.
Still no excuse for Polanski but I gather this is why they didn’t plan on giving him any long prison sentence.
I also agree with you re: the details of this crime. I cringe when they go into details like this.
