I have looked through the incomprehensible HR 3200 and can find no discernable reference to private long term care health insurance. However, my read suggests that ObamaCare will also end all private LTC insurance policies and replace them with ... nothing. Since LTC premiums are adjusted severy several years tro reflect a person's age, the bill suggests that once that occurs your LTC insurance is automatically canceled and you get ... nothing. You get to die at home. Quickly.
Anyone out there who has deciphered ObamaCare enough to clarify this?
I would really be interested in hearing more about this. We both have a LTC policy that is inflation adjusted and been paying premiums for several years now.

My added comments: Probably hidden in the bill someplace will be something that allows SEIU thugs to come into our homes to administer the final solution/er care. They will be paid first when IRS takes over our estates.
Thanks for this link. Scary stuff. We had ltc insurance with GE and Genworth bought it. Last year it looked like Genworth might go belly up. Their stock has had a good recovery this year.

I expect the $5000/year premiums my wife and I have been paying will be worthless, as will all the money we’ve paid into Medicare for 40 years. Why live here anymore?
My LTC policy is with GE, also. I have a GREAT plan and have been paying premiums for quite a few years.
I can’t believe this. I am flummoxed and gob-smacked.
They sure do sneak a lot of crap into these bills and there is no way to keep abreast of all of it. The responsible citizens are being hung out to dry or die....in order to make life nicer for 10% of the population.

The only thing I can think of is to divest yourself of all that you have worked for, house, savings, pension....become a pitiful person with your hand out. You will be seen as no threat to the government, and the liberals will love you in your desolation and their ability so show how compassionate they are through all the free stuff they will give you.

I don’t know about SEIU, it could be ACORN or Obama’s National Citizen Corps or whatever Civilian police force he wants.
But since the IRS will have access to a persons’ bank accounts, when you die, they will calculate what your taxes are and automatically deduct them form your accoutns, and if you owe, they’ll grab the rest from your kids. If they make a mistake it’s up to you to prove it to get any money back.
Find a few conservatives you know in the nursing home and home care fields and ask them about the SEIU thugs in those areas.

Now you guys see how delerious Demonicrats can get! They've been pist about no governmental Long-Term Care ever since it was carved out of Medicare as it was passed into law. So they been agitatin for this through two TX Presidents!!!
