My friend and I were having a discussion. He says there are no more than 15 truly honest, conservative, moral, politicians now serving in the House and Senate. I disagreed with him and said there are many good public servants serving their country. Can you Freepers help me out and give me some names of good politicians that we should not oust in 2010?
Steve King is on the right path and is my home representative. A good guy with a promising future.
I will add Senator Grassley who has done very well for Iowa and for the nation over many years in his office.
Doug Lamborn - Colorado 5th.
Agree with posters who point out that the temptations that go with these offices eventually end up corrupting the majority. Length of time in office is more a bane than a boon and term limits is a good idea.
Scott Garrett, House, NJ-5. I vote for this guy with relish. He’s definitely a keeper.
And another absolutely awesome Representative - Pete Olson. Texas District 22. Been voting for 50 years in 4 different states and he’s the best I’ve ever seen. Lots of local town halls, lots of email updates, staff is great and he’s easy to reach and share concerns with.
Replace them all. If they are honest now they won’t be after a term or two.
Gus M.Bilirakis, Florida, 9th District.
Outside of a couple of brain farts, I have found Gus to be a pretty straight shooter.
The rest of our delegation are dreck.
Regards,
GtG
