Oh my gosh, I just saw this, SL! I wasn't going to go to mass today (I'm not the most devout) but I surely will now & also get my Mom to put in some special ones for ya because she's the champ in the prayer department.

Here is a Tuesday morning update on saveliberty. Just got off the phone with her [after sleeping thru last night's update call!]:

Saveliberty sounds great. She has had some further tests and talks with the docs and all are optimistic. As DollyCali mentioned, there is the possibility of losing the hearing in S/L's right ear after the operation, but thankfully she was given two and is not worried over that situation. The hemorrhaging is still a problem and may effect when and how the surgery occurs. S/L reminded me that it is a benign tumor which allows much more flexibility to the surgery.

It turns out S/L loves her morning cup of coffee and had to “debate” with the hospital to let her have it. [She can elaborate on her return.] Needless to say, she won the debate. I can personally attest to being able to tell when S/L has had her cup of java as she is alert and perky afterwards. [Make that more alert and perky.]

Anyway, I hope I am conveying the upbeat spirit that saveliberty had this morning. She knows the odds of things going wrong and feels they are low enuff to deter her from fearing the surgery.

Here's is tonight's update on saveliberty. She has been given a “target date” of tomorrow [Wednesday] to be released to home and await her surgeries. [I think there will be a minimum of two.] The scheduling of the surgeries has not yet been determined. Hopefully, S/L will fill us in as the schedule is firmed up.

I can say without reservation that saveliberty sounded strong and positive tonight. Nothing like the thought of being home to boost one’s spirits, eh? She still has to jump thru a few hoops tomorrow [I am speaking metaphorically here!] and I am going to bypass the morning call. Perhaps the next update will be from saveliberty herself.

Received a nice note from MizSterious about the power of prayer, so keep those prayer wheels going until saveliberty has completed all of her surgeries.

Wednesday morning's call from saveliberty is good news. She has been Okayed for release to her home pending her surgeries. [Dates of the surgeries are not yet known.]

S/L has been doing some “hallway walking” to keep her spirits up and address some of her numbness. Seems like the nurses are ready to sign her up. S/L has been quite impressed with the care and professionalism of her medical care team.

Because of some residual numbness in her arm and hand, saveliberty may not be able to post here when she arrives home as much as we have hoped, but she will be able to read all of your good thoughts and wishes.
