Anderson Silva will retire undefeated.

There is no-one on his level.

He is the top of the food chain.

Anderson Silva will retire undefeated.

That would be kinda hard with a 25 - 4 record. He better come up with a flawless strategy against Lyoto Machida if he wants to stay in the light heavyweight division.

I'd like to see Silva fight Lyoto Machida.

I would still give the edge to Silva in that fight, but I think it would a hell of lot more competitive than what we saw tonight.

BTW, Silva has already lost 4 times in his career, although not recently. His KO of Griffin was his 11th straight win.

I know, I know, I made a mistake.

I meant within the UFC, but I did not specify that. Very sorry.

The UFC is losing it’s luster. Frank Shamrock was right, the UFC is not progressing the martial arts.

This is a sport with spectators?

Not that it’s too big a deal, but a slight correction: BJ Penn is called “The Prodigy”.

Randy Coutre is called “The Natural”.

Both men are, indeed, naturally gifted at martial arts (jiu-jitsu, boxing, wrestling).

Yup. It set the record for the largest Gate in PA history last night.

UFC 101 pretty much sucked beyond Anderson starching Forrest.

101 hilight as Silva and how he made Griffin look like someone who was picked off the street !

EVERYONE expected Griffin to give Silva a very hard fight.

I`ve never seen anything like that. Silva toyed with him, fought with his hands down around his waist and KOd Griffin as he was walking backwards on his heels. To top it off, as Griffin got up after the fight was stopped he literally ran out of the arena !!!

Missed it but heard my boy Johny Hendricks made short work of the Ultimate Fighter winner.

You responded to the wrong post. I didn't say anything about the popularity of the event.

Is there any explanation for why he did that? Shame? Anger at himself? What?

Dunno, dunno. VERY early stoppage for Amir Sadollah.

But, still a win and STILL a problem for MMA in general. A guy gets knocked down and stunned and the fight is over. In boxing it`s a standing 8 and go baby!

White staed in the presser after that Griffin is an emotional guy and was proably in Georgia by now.

Yeah, but in boxing the punching stops when the guy goes down. No way anywhere licenses MMA unless they are very proactive in stopping fighters from getting brain damage. Of the fights I have seen it has almost always been a good idea to stop it when they did.

I haven’t seen the fight, but I know a lot of people thought it was a very early stoppage. At this point though I hope they don’t try to move him along too fast. He really hasn’t been doing it that long.
