Have you considered judicious use of dynamite?

Is there a way I can get it back short of shoving my hands down blindly in there?

Well there's a question begging for trouble.

1. Pay a pile of money to a mechanic to remove the rear seat.

2. Shove your daughter’s hand blindly down in there.

Some back seats are removable, or the “beneath” the seat areas can be accessed through the trunk. Depends on make and model.

To fit you hands would be very tight, I recommend we analyze the situation:
1. Tongs
2. Reciprocating Saw
3. Open Trunk
4. Explosives

My motto is, if explosives are an option then explosives are THE answer. Go with 4!

That question has plagued uncomfortable men since the invention of underwear.

Do you have the type of rear seats that lay down?

If not, most seats will pop out when you stick you hands down the back (of the horizontal seat) and pull forward.

In some cars the back seat can be removed. Don’t know about yours.

Take it to the shop, else you risk being bitten by the 10 legged car spider, or worse, the spork weasle.

Some seats are held in by clips, if you find where it seems tightly clipped, try gently pulling there and see if seat area pops out of clip, then work your way to next one until you can slip your hand in there. Trouble with autos these days is that those clips often break, and if not properly replaced you may have a rattle for the next few years.
