star trek was really fun for me to Mozie.. How is hubby’s job search going? I have so many friends (my vintage) who have lost jobs this past few months. And my nephew in Portland, Oregon... his company folded. He & his 2 roomates all were employed there & they have a 1500(each) rent on their apt .. for two more months lease..Very classy pent house suite on top of one of Portlands hightest bldgs.
I am guessing he hadn’t saved a cent although was making a good income. The entire company relocated from Tulsa last Summer.. they were suppliers of services to the banking industry..
kiss of death
Dear Amy, your "Hello, FRiend" Graphic and Frame are So Beautiful! Thank you!
Goodnight to All FRiends, and God Bless!
We're hanging in but I sure hope he finds something soon.
When our children were young, one of our favorite board games was Risk. World conquest was the objective. Each player mobilized his troops to take possession of countries and continents. It always amused me that the person who initially was leading the game seldom won. The reason is obvious. When other players sensed his mounting pride, they would join together against him.
Whether consciously or subconsciously, it is easy to dislike powerful people who have proud looks. Their very countenance seems to encourage others to throw obstacles in their paths or to be silent objectors.
In todays Bible reading, we are told that God hates seven things. Tellingly, the first is pride. When someone overvalues himself by undervaluing others, he inevitably reveals it with his proud look. Puffed up in self-conceit, he may also devise evil and sow discord. No wonder God hates proud looks.
Proud and powerful people may think they can disregard others displeasure, but they cannot disregard Gods opposition. Peter reminds us not to trust in ourselves but in the One who will exalt us in due time (1 Peter 5:6). As we submit to Him, we avoid the risk that pride brings to our character and we become thankful, humble servants of God.

Just gorgeous Amy! The birds are magnificent.
I’m off to the salt mines once again. On top of the 3 positions I hold at work, we’re now moving to a new building, so I’ll have packing up and managing the movers at the end of the week. Wasted time!
You have a great Tuesday and hold down the fort here!
That graphic is absolutely so inviting!!
May today be a wonderful day filled with renewed HOPE.
Can we say that the " coup" in New York Senate yesterday may be the beginning of a conservative turn around? Praying so!
We are nearing graduation.
Darling daughter went to the Prom on Sat. (I will try and send a photo of her later )I was so PROUD of her. She did not have a escort but decided to go anyways with her close friend and her friend's escort!!Too Fun! She said it was like a big party and a lot of the classmates came single, and she didn't feel out of line at all.
I told her that her escort was the King of Kings!! She looked elegant and had a great time. Now onto the big " event" and then a grad party on the 20th..and I hope to relax after that!
Waving to you all from overcast Los Angeles,
Polly
I have a moment before I leave and I just wanted to tell you how beautiful your opening is this morning, as always! Billie! Great quote of Monet. We can’t all be artists but we all get joy from the flowers. I was on the patio this morning watching my flowers grow.....LOL! Seems like they grow from day to day! I love it! Keeps me busy watering in this hot weather.
Yes these are great days for her. Especially in light of the fact we were told she would neither talk or walk and probably comprehend very little!
To GOD be The GLORY!
Polly
Such a pretty way to say good morning!
Morning, Amy. Just wanted to say how pretty your hummingbird from yesterday is! Happy Tuesday to you!
Hi, Kitty! Thank you - I should think to use more of the gifs I’ve got in my files when I’m here, but usually take the easy way and forget to look up cute graphics like you and so many others do. :)
Iris Jaunes:
