American capitalism gone with a whimper
PRAVDA ^ | May 29, 2009 | NA

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

BREAKING NEWS

Russia warns NATO not to rattle weapons near Russia's borders

The strict traditions of Sumo wrestling More...

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish....

The world has gone mad when Pravda is printing the truth and US newspapers are printing the communist propoganda.

“The world has gone mad”

Indeed. Very strange times.

For what it’s worth, I think the economy will do so poorly by 2012 that 0bama will be decisively rejected. DOW 2500, NASDAQ 600.

There’s a massive wave of foreclosures coming next year. Right now one in eight people have defaulted on their mortgage.

The insane are running the asylum.

“The insane are running the asylum”

You got it!! How the U.S. ended up being run by such a gang of mental cases I will never figure out.

Only theory I have is that Capitalism shot ITSELF in the foot. Did we get so focused on “making the big bucks” that the collective “WE” ignored public service and let the idiots get control??
Instead of electing successfull CEO’s to congress and the White House we let in a bunch of fools that no CEO would hire! Sure looks that way. Unfortunately at this point I don’t see any way back.
I see a whole country, pockets stuffed with worthless paper money..going down with Odumba at the helm..napoleon hat on, Karl Marx and Mein Kampf under his arm..while the rest of the world laughs.
Russians now refer to the States as “New Africa”. Its getting tough to be an American expat...kind of “Rodney Dangerfieldish”.

It’s gotten to the point where the majority of Americans are either too stupid, too corrupt, or kept way too busy. There is no chance of recovering from this.

"It’s gotten to the point where the majority of Americans are either too stupid, too corrupt, or kept way too busy. There is no chance of recovering from this.

The only thing you forgot was - too arrogant to believe the US could be brought to its knees. Certainly the welfare system has contributed massively to our current crisis (entitled to be cared for by the government), our schools do not teach anything but mush, and those of us who care are working 2 and 3 jobs to stay afloat.

But I disagree that there is no chance of recovery. The pressure and strain of multiple jobs, massive personal debt, oppressive taxation, lessons never learned in school, and general apathy are unsustainable. Something will give.

It seems to me we have two choices: either become Marxist as the article suggests, or in the face of a social and financial meltdown, we could possibly pull ourselves out of the morass and become a productive nation once more.

The chances of the latter happening are indeed slim, and many would suffer terrible privation at least initially. But Americans have done it before, and we can do it again IFF sufficiently motivated.

Motivation is the key. What would motivate Americans to remove corrupt politicians from office? What outrage would sufficiently spur us to move our well-larded behinds from our comfy recliners and turn off the TV?

“Again, this will all be worse, since the world debt, especially that of America and UK are skyrocketing, while over all GDP is falling.

Debt - external

1 World $ 54,620,000,000,000 31 December 2008 est.
2 United States $ 12,250,000,000,000 30 June 2007”

Check the blog above, it has a lot of scary facts. Rome, I mean the US is burning.........God help us.....

I read an article once that stated that our comparisons between Obama and Hitler were hurting our credibility.

However the comparisons are there, and they are hard not to notice.

I believe he is already intent on abandoning Israel, which will mean war in the Middle East and Obama will blame it all on the Jews, which will bring things full circle.

I have a great example of that.
At a recent barbecue my husband's father in law's ex wife was bragging about how she doesn't read books, ever. She said it was just too hard. She only reads people magazine but mostly looks at the pictures (she's 42). She's raising two children and brags to them about not reading, I needed a drink. Sitting next to me was an O voter from next door and we looked at each other with surprise. Did we actually agree on something? Yes we did, she was a moron. Then again, the O voter showed she was a moron by saying that health care was a right and that rich people are bad to which the non-reading it's to hard lady agreed...
We are so screwed.

Hitler did not cause the problems of the Weimar Republic, no comparison meant or implied.
