Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is firing back at her grandson's teenaged father, Levi Johnston, for comments he made on TV about the circumstances surrounding his son's conception.
On an episode of "The Tyra Banks Show" to air Monday, Johnston, 18, claims that Gov. Palin did not think that he and her daughter Bristol were being abstinent when they were together.
"Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show," Palin's rep tells People.com. "We're disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship."

If this kid worked as hard at getting a job to pay for his child as he does at extending his 15 minutes, he might actually make something of himself. As it stands now, he’s just a degenerate, absent father who relies on others to shoulder what should be his responsibility.

I stand with the comments I made then, because their private life should not be our business. The point of my comments was to be directed against those busybodies picking apart their private life without any proof, based entirely on rumors.

Well just maybe her respect for the truth and honor means just a bit more than any possible political aspirations. The one reason she originally caught fire with the general public was her no nonsense approach to the world. I have far more respect for someone who calls a spade a spade than someone who is poitically or socially afraid to confront an issue.
In my book, a “no comment” response means either the claims are true or you are too much of a coward to dispute it.

...would have allowed the story to die. The statement they put out comes off as amateurish. Not surprisingly, it probably was crafted by someone who doesn't have the greatest amount of experience in managing national media.
It’s ok Bristol, my exhusband and father of my two oldest children is a jackass too.
And, remember, Sarah is the one who thrust her kids and Levi into the news. She could have left them at home, you know. :)
