Vanity: articles with certain Keywords are regularly filtered out for no reason
Posted on 03/22/2009 12:59:10 PM PDT by mainestategop
I have noticed that a lot of times, certain articles are censored out by internet filters. keywords such as fascism, liberalnazis, stormfront and nambla are censored even though they are articles about nambla or describing fascism. To me it sounds like a good way to block the public from viewing the similarities of Liberal Democrat's and Hitler's Nazis. I think it might be a good idea to remove certain keywords so that there is no confusion between websites advocating fascism and those like this one that refute and expose it. the mods might want to do that and anyone here with a blog should do the same.

the mods might want to do that and anyone here with a blog should do the same. Are you suggesting that Free Republic is a blog?

Good point. I can’t get Drudge or FR at work. I got Newsmax but that may stop.

No, I'm suggesting the adminmods should remove certain keywords so they wont be blocked by Internet filters is all I'm saying. A lot of people use library computers or family computers, also I have a feeling Obama is going to mandate unchangeable filters for all computers the same way Clinton mandated V chips for all TVs.

They are more direct than that.
Wiki purges any mention of the birth certificate issue.
google ‘disappeared’ half a million hits on image searches for ‘0bama birth certificate’ last July.
etc, etc, etc...

I think they are suggesting that members of FR have blogs. Note the use of “and”.
