Can't say I didn't warn you! Billions are included in the proposed economic "stick it to us" bill to force you to install the state owned and operated thermostats for your home, to what?...oh yeah prevent global warming. Oh, did I mention another 400 million to help this green government invent some "proof" of man made climate change? (heck, since movies seem to be considered credible science and their basis for policy, why not jut fund another movie and save some money)
About those big brother thermostats, part of the 4.1 billion proposed spending for the "Smart Grid". Not only will these "spy boxes" devices regulate...

We can't be running our country this way, the greens have a chokehold on our economy, our freedoms and our way of life.
The talkback thermostats are just the beginning, there's talk about gps trackers to report your driving, neighborhood civil patrol with the authority to charge you as a criminal for using energy, trash police, regulating the hours you can actually use electricity...all being considered by people we elected...
Like these many electric cars the government wants to buy with the stimulus.
OK, it's an electric car, but how does the electricity get provided to charge these vehicles?
They have to burn coal and fuel to get the electricity to recharge which leave a giant carbon footprint.
People don't follow the whole trail on these issues.
How many have forgotten that it was the enviornmentalists that got us away from using trees for paper bags and into plastic bags to save the environment years ago.
These environmentalists are mostly incompetent and they have done more damage in the long run in almost every case.
More detail would be good. Like, where is it in the bill?
save electricity, save water, don’t smoke, don’t use gas...on and on and on...BUT we need the money so we’ll still have to raise prices and tack on fees because we’re not getting the revenue. What a circus!

it’s in the funding for the smart grid, last I heard it was 35 billion. Google smart grid. Both House and Senate bills have 4.5 billion set aside for smart grids and smart meters under the guise of better management of energy consumption.

And this “green” mentality has all been incorporated into school curriculums to the point where most students believe it’s all fact.
The Green movement is just another excuse to bring baout policies to move the world towards the post industrial socialist utopia these people have in mind for the erst of us. This will all of course, be based on “scientific” socialism. In the meantime the elites will exempt themselves from what they mandate for the rest of us.
