Well put.

My guess is, Granholm will wind up with a broken arm from Michelle, have to leave the administration, and die in an unsolved drive-by shooting. Oh, wait, that’s a Detroit flashback...

This topic could almost be another poll, such as, "how many of these Code Pink demands will be addressed by the time Obama leaves office?" ;')

5) 1st member of the Black Congressional Caucus to criticize Obama.

I guess it could be Charles Rangel, assuming he remains in office much longer.

Charles Rangel RAT-NY paid parking tickets with campaign money

I don’t know how sincere people think I am when i say this, but for the past couple of months i have genuinely hoped that this guy won’t be a screwup. I love my country and don’t want it to come apart. But what I’ve seen of him so far is just pathetic—I just saw on the news that his response to his critics is “What’s YOUR idea on the economy?” If he’s this thinskinned—and his “ideas” are a continuation of the Bush policies he ran against—we are screwed.

“I predict he gets bored and frustrated under lifestyle restrictions....”

You are sooo right about Obama. It’s hard not to be able to smoke when you want, play basketball all day, talk whenever, and with whomever, on your blackberry in private, hanging out in Hawaii, and have to actually do a JOB.

In his entire legal “career” he tried only 10 cases.

Pathetic. This is the man who will be doing the most difficult job in America??? We are toast.

Well, Gates and Hillary are pretty obvious for 1 and 2... and I just think Iran and North Korea, while they have nuclear weapons, are being paid too much attention to try anything soon - but nobody’s paying much attention to Pakistan.

Although, my celebrity prediction is just cause I think Paris Hilton is dumb enough.... and 2ndDivisionVet’s prediction for the editorial is way too early - MLK Day is the DAY BEFORE the inauguration, they’re not going to get off that ‘high’ in only two weeks.

:’) I was deliberately vague on the date of the first critical editorial; also, I do wonder whether there will ever be *any* which are critical, other than the Marxist bloggers’ that are currently critical of their Sock Puppet hero because he plans to keep Gates and bring Hillary into State.

I picked Pakistan as well, because it’s riven by factions, and at least one of those factions is aligned with al-Qaeda, plus they have a history of coup d’etat, have nukes, a permanent hostility toward India, longstanding ties with China, longstanding ties with Islamofascists, is an ethnic mishmash, has Iran for a nextdoor neighbor, has Afghanistan for a nextdoor neighbor...

Hey, on second thought, what could *possibly* go wrong in Pakistan? ;’)

The Sock Puppet did mention that he would, if elected, basically intervene in Pakistan, but A) he lies about practically everything, B) he’s cunning and nasty but not too bright, and C) he’s keeping Gates which indicate few changes in the WOT strategy.

[snip] Barack Obama suggested he’s not likely to actively pursue criminal charges against national security officials who were directly involved in unlawful interrogations or wire-tapping, and said it would be difficult to quickly close down Guantanamo Bay. On Guantanamo — which he repeatedly promised to shutter during the campaign — Obama, in an interview on Sunday with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week,” reiterated his intent to do just that but also sounded a pragmatic note. “That’s a challenge,” the president-elect said about the prospect of closing down to the detainee facility within the first 100 days of taking office. “I think it’s going to take some time and our legal teams are working in consultation with our national security apparatus as we speak to help design exactly what we need to do. Well, that’s what I expect the first critical editorial to be - Obama won’t be able to get the troops out of Iraq in a couple months, and then the critical editorial writer will say if Obama hadn’t tried to ‘pander’ to the moderates/eeeevil right-wingers by keeping Secretary Gates around, then everything in Iraq would be ponies and butterflies and rainbows.
