Do not understand how this controversy got this far. Isn’t there a vetting process by law enforcement (FBI, CIA) some government agency that would have taken care of this matter? If not, what would prevent a terrorist in sheep clothing to become President of our country. Any one can run and hide themselves under the cloak of purity, get elected and it is okay? I just do not understand this?

That’s the number one question that prevents some people from even considering this controversy. Some people believe that these government agencies would have done the “vetting” of this guy, simply because he has made it this far.

I’m not one of them but I’d sure like an answer to this.

I think they're trying to do that right now.

“Isn’t there a vetting process by...some government agency that would have taken care of this matter?”

Normally, in a free society, one can rely on the opposing party. The Republicans were sleeping on duty. But they can make up for it by searching government records and presenting a formal objection on Jan 8, ‘09 that demonstrates O is not a natural born citizen (if at all).

If O is not a natural born citizen his certification at each state primary level was fraudulent.

STAND UP AMERICA! The presidential election is not over!
We voted for electors, not the individual candidates. The electors vote on or after December 15, 2009. The results are then presented to a joint session of Congress and objections may be heard on January 8, 2009 pursuant to the 20th amendment and Public Law 110-430. See the letter on my About page hand-delivered to the local offices of my Republican Senators and Representatives. I urge you to take similar action, even if it is simply faxing a one page letter to Washington, D.C.

We’re learning through this mess that there is no vetting to confirm the candidates’ qualification. Each candidate certifies qualification for the office, and everyone is expected to believe that’s the truth.

Because Obama is a compulsive liar, nobody should believe anything he says.

That’s just the thing. It’s really hard to get elected president. Usually a lot harder than what Obama had to go through. You know, decades of public service, long record as national figure, intense press scrutiny. The way our electoral system works, I’m pretty sure they expect these sorts of issues to pop up during the election.

So, more often than not, the “get elected and it is okay” principle actually does work. Still, you’d think some authority somewhere—in Congress perhaps—would demand some sort of formal approval process. My feeling is the “vetting” should happen before a candidate’s name goes on the ballot.

I don’t understand either, but Republicans have allowed this to happen. I wonder about the reports of the FBI hiring Muslims with questionable backgrounds because they speak Farsi or whatever.

I also wonder why George W. Bush allowed CAIR access to the White House and gave them legitimacy that they obviously do not warrant.

While I am wondering, how did John McCain become the last man standing in that dozen Republicans who started the race for the presidency? Could anyone have run a more miserable campaign?

I have heard talk show hosts say that this story cannot be real—surely he had to have been vetted by DNC, yet the unanswered questions remain...

Since he is financially tied to Nadhmi Auchi, I believe this is exactly where we are at.
