That is the problem that we are finding, the only entity that does any vetting of eligibility of any kind is the FEC. By Obama raising more money than he could with public financing, he sidestepped the FEC.

That’s just the thing. It’s really hard to get elected president. Usually a lot harder than what Obama had to go through. You know, decades of public service, long record as national figure, intense press scrutiny. The way our electoral system works, I’m pretty sure they expect these sorts of issues to pop up during the election.
So, more often than not, the “get elected and it is okay” principle actually does work. Still, you’d think some authority somewhere—in Congress perhaps—would demand some sort of formal approval process. My feeling is the “vetting” should happen before a candidate’s name goes on the ballot.
Well hell, since they don’t give a rat’s a&& about the constitution, we can just hand over our guns.
And maybe we should arrest you for inferring a curse word.

Until that moment, I always though Reich/Shalala were the same person ( she threw on the beard to make a Reich appearance ). You never saw them in the same room together :-)

I don’t understand either, but Republicans have allowed this to happen. I wonder about the reports of the FBI hiring Muslims with questionable backgrounds because they speak Farsi or whatever.
I also wonder why George W. Bush allowed CAIR access to the White House and gave them legitimacy that they obviously do not warrant.
While I am wondering, how did John McCain become the last man standing in that dozen Republicans who started the race for the presidency? Could anyone have run a more miserable campaign?

While it would embarrass a few Republicans like Alan Keyes for Obama to now document his status as a natural born citizen, the alternative is a Republican disaster. Obama's disqualification on what the MSM would describe as a technicality would produce tremendous and lasting public anger at Republicans.
If America still had investigative journalists instead of liberal propagandists, this issue would have been raised and settled a long time ago.

There appears to be little value in contacting the electors. O’s hand-picked electors will not listen to anyone but O.
I urge folks to contact their state Republican politicians. Their local and D.C. addresses will be on your state Republican headquarters web page.
Recommend you fax your letter to all of your Republican Senators and Representatives, apparently snail mail is routed for security reasons to a location that clears it for contamination and that is time consuming and perhaps subjects it to mishandling.
Recommend you also give the state headquarters a call to verbally deliver your thoughts. We need to give the Republican the courage to step up and do their job.
