'Flying saucer' filmed in Turkey
The Sun ^ | 21 Oct 2008 | SEBASTIAN LANDER

THIS astonishing video footage is claimed to be the "most important images of a UFO ever filmed" – and is said to even depict ALIENS.

The shots were captured by night guard Yalcin Yalman in a compound in Turkey earlier this year.

The 42-year-old and a number of residents claim the UFOs were spotted over a four month period between May and September near the compound in Istanbul.

He said: “I don’t know what these things are. We filmed them several times and they are totally unknown to us. I was very excited when I saw them and I want the world to know that UFOs do exist”.

Almost two-and-a-half hours of footage was filmed featuring a variety of objects ranging from incredible flying saucer-type 'craft' to clustering orb-like lights hovering in the night sky.

Genuine

The clips were handed to the Sirius UFO Space Science Research Centre in Turkey who interviewed witnesses and painstakingly combed through the footage frame by frame.

International UFO researcher Haktan Akdogan said: "In this amazing video footage, physical forms of UFOs and their metallic structures are clearly noticeable.

"What is more important is that in the close-up of some footages of the objects, entities in them can be distinctly made out."

He continues: "We have spoken with all of the witnesses and had detailed analysis conducted on all two-and-a-half hours of footage.

"After conducting all of the analysis we came to the conclusion that this video footage is 100 per cent genuine.

"The objects filmed are structured objects and are not the result of misidentification or natural phenomena, aircraft or astronomical objects.

“100% understand all there is to understand about life, reality, physics, etc.”

Not 100%, but I know enough from my college physics courses to understand that these alien ships could not exceed the speed of light. So, unless they come from one of solar systems planets they would have to travel thousands of years. That alone tells me that it is patently absurd to believe aliens have visited earth.

Lots of folks . . .

I suspect with degrees in fields related to such issues . . . perhaps higher than yours . . .

assert that such notions are quite archaic. Many say they are laughably quite wrong.

I think there have even been scientific articles posted on FR about how Einstein and even Newton didn’t have it quite as figured out as they thought.

BTW, how do you explain . . .

Rig the test thusly . . . a paper cup with a 1” ball bearing in it on the end of a drill that is left off. The drill is affixed to a device that will spring loaded cause the 1” ball bearing to fly out of the cup when the mechanism is released.

In another paper cup affixed to the end of a drill an identical distance etc. level with the other one . . . only this drill spins up to the necessary RPM’S . . . which I’ve forgotten . . .

At the requisite RPM’s the device is triggered and both ball bearings fly up into the air. The spinning one flys further.

Newton, Einstein and evidently you say impossible.

So much for your high school brilliance.

Hey, even Werner von Braun was shocked.

Mass increases exponentially the closer you approach the speed of light. Your trick with the drill nothwithstanding.

Assuming I read you correctly, there is more energy from a spinning object, as compared to something at rest and then released. You'll fly farther from a spinning carousel than a moving one that you have to jump from. Your jump plus the added energy of a moving platform. Simple physics. You know, like David and his sling against Goliath.

Evidently . . .

you are pretending yet again . . .

that you understand

100% of all

That’s a greater leap of blind faith than I can make about such things.

Besides . . . an interesting number of credible folks say such assumptions are just plain wrong.

And, of course, a fair number of military and civilian scientist types when asking various ET’s about such assumptions . . .

just get laughed at very condescendingly.

Clearly the joke is on the humans . . . rarely, if ever, have the ET’s gone into detail about our ‘absurd’ assumptions about such things.

BTW, no trick with the ball bearing . . . The length of travel is perpenticular to the spin. The difference is NOT logical given your assumptions about Einstein and Newton.

“Besides . . . an interesting number of credible folks say such assumptions are just plain wrong.”

They are not assumptions. Mass increases as one approaches the speed of light thus requiring more energy which then increases the mass and on and on till mass becomes infinite. I don’t know what credible folks you are referring to, but the most credible physicists, including Einstein accept this fact. The ball bearing experiment you keep quoting is about inertia anyway, and highly questionable.

Prologue

The flying disk recovered in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947 is one of many contacts with extraterrestrial life forms humans have had in the last century and this new century.

Roswell gets the bulk of the interest because it was initially reported by personnel in the United States government to a worldwide audience. Days after an officer from the Army/Air force released the news that an Alien ship crashed in a field near Roswell, New Mexico, a substantial amount of repudiation of the story poured out from military headquarters debunking the original account.

However, not everyone could be silenced. For some of the individuals, those that experienced the phenomena firsthand, the cover-up did not alleviate their new paranormal realities. During that period many of the people touched by the extraterrestrial affair like the nurses, doctors, scientists and military personnel, the people with firsthand knowledge, suddenly lost interest in telling their stories. Those people had been debriefed on the consequences should they talk about what they saw and experienced in Roswell in 1947.

Much of what leaked out in the last three decades came from such people who had previously sworn secrecy their involvement while employed by the newly developed covert society. These people lived most of their lives working in clandestine laboratories setup in several places around the world. Some of the scientists in such programs had physical contact with Aliens and Alien technologies, that were discovered inside the salvaged Alien spaceship at Roswell.

A few of these people eventually wrote books describing some of the things they worked around, but for the fantastic nature of their claims few believed them. Others, with more profound information and fearful of loosing credibility, careers, and even their life, had no interest in going public. Some remained quiet out of duty to country.

Most of these people have gone to their graves, taking their Alien secrets with them. But not all secrets were taken to the grave. Some remained hidden in dusty attics and damp basements, stored away under old magazines and books inside boxes, awaiting discovery.

Much of this material was never found, and like countless other historical documents throughout the ages has been lost to posterity, never to be viewed by human eyes again. No one will ever know how much secret information from that and other covert projects made it to the landfills, but some journals have surfaced after the author(s) have passed away.

When I first wrote “In League with a UFO” I did not want to be associated with the UFO phenomena and was not sure how to put the information out without admitting my personal experiences. So I put the manuscript away for two years before revisiting it again and publishing the manuscript.

Unbeknownst to me at the time was that my book would come out in print two weeks before the 50th anniversary of the Roswell crash. My publisher informed me of that fact and suggested that I should take advantage of the crowds that would converge in Roswell, New Mexico on July of 1997, to sell my books. I declined and my book remained for the most part unknown for nearly ten years after publication. A few books were purchased and in the second year I was invited to a filming of a documentary concerning UFOs and again I declined publicity for the book. I did however do a couple of radio shows which netted me a few book sales.

How I came to have this information is as strange as the information itself. I was a homebuilder at the time with no desire to write and little if any writing ability to boot. I received a call one day and was invited to have lunch by an individual I did not know. I often met with clients and suppliers who I did business with and didn’t give it much thought when I accepted the invitation.

I met with this fellow at an upscale restaurant and we never once talked about construction, which should have been odd, but for some reason it was not. During our conversation he handed me some papers that he took from his briefcase and showed them to me. I can’t to this day recall what we talked about or what was on those papers, but not long after that day I began to write down the material that is now in this book.

UFO Crash

The year was 1947, the place Roswell New Mexico. On July 2, of that year, reports of a bright disk streaming across the sky were made my some of the townspeople to the local authorities. The unidentified-flying-object (UFO) fell from the sky and crashed approximately seventy-five miles northwest of town that day.

A rancher or farmer that heard the crash and had thought that an airplane had fallen into a field a short distance from the house he was living in, investigated. What he found at the scene was nothing he could relate to and it certainly didn’t look to him like it was from this world! He was so mystified about what he saw that he didn’t report it until five days later, on July the 7th when he went into town for some other business.

He told some friends that the craft was made of a strange material that had no weight to it, yet seemed to have incredible strength. Years later some of the material found at the crash site was equated to looking like aluminum foil. Coincidently, aluminum foil was invented that year (1947). However, aluminum foil is easily damaged and destroyed, unlike the material from the Alien ship.

Once the news spread about the rancher’s claim of finding a UFO the excitement mixed with apprehension (thoughts of an Alien invasion), spread throughout the town like a brush fire. It was not long after the rancher showed the crash site to one of the military officers that the rancher suddenly became silent on the topic and spoke no more about it. He refused to discuss what he had found with the media or his friends. Nevertheless, the news was out and it quickly traveled around the country and the world as the press corps inundated that small New Mexico town.

Ironically, much of what is known about the UFO crash was released to the media by a public relations officer from the Army / Air Force (the same people that later denied it).

A military officer told the press that a flying disk had crashed and that the Army/Air Force did recover it. (In 1947 the Army and the Air force was one branch.) From that statement, people from all over world wanted to know more. Some of the talk around town focused on topics that questioned the vary nature of mans existence, “what if we are not alone in the universe? Was this crash proof that other life forms did exist? And if so what a scary thought that was!”

Those were some of the concerns talked about. Orson Welle’s "War of the Worlds" of a few years earlier, in 1938, was still on the minds of many of the town folks. That alleged alien crash implied that a real alien invasion could be imminent. There was anxiety mixed in with the excitement. Those were dire implications to that possibility and the government soon realized it was not in a position to answer the queries and concerns coming at them by the potentially panic-provoking reporters.

Not knowing what the army had in its possession and at the same time attempting to halt what had turned into a media-circus of paranoia, the military retracted its earlier statement about a flying disk and blamed the misunderstanding to a misinformed lower ranking officer. The military’s new report simply stated that a new kind of weather balloon that was being tested in the nearby military base is all that was recovered from the now famous Roswell crash.

The crash of a weather balloon was much easier to swallow than Aliens from space and a lot less frightening for the public at large. Few people doubted the military’s explanations and welcomed them and the public quickly forgot the whole matter.

Cover-up

The top brass in the military was unable to give the President of the United States any details of what they had in their possession other than it did appear to be extraterrestrial and not of this world. That was enough information for the President to make the decision to keep the whole affair a secret until further notice.

A secret committee was formed with the sole intention of studying the Alien craft. It was put under the jurisdiction of the Air Force and received its funding from them. The committee operated under the pretext of integrating new technologies to develop better maneuverability and faster flying military aircraft (top secret stuff).

The facility is located near the Nevada Arizona border and is popularly known as "Area 51." It was one of the most hush-hush bases in the country until sometime in the Seventies. That’s when UFO buffs began mentioning it in their meetings, and the media started writing about it in newspapers and magazines.

Information about UFOs came from a multitude of sources.

From the average citizen that reported to the Media that they had seen aircraft perform fantastic feats of maneuverability near military bases and at Area 51, and professionals, that claimed what they saw defied all concepts of what military aircraft, or any aircraft, was capable of doing without breaking apart. Moving diagonally while traveling at a high rate of speed was one of the more bizarre instances reported. Other sources or leaks came from former military personnel who worked at certain bases and spoke under the condition that their names would not be used. Area 51 remains a top-secret facility, but everyone knows its whereabouts. It now serves more as a decoy, keeping the public focused on that one place and away from other concealed operations across the country, according to a document.

The military had in its possession a flying machine so advanced and mysterious that some of the scientists involved in the program speculated that it could only be from other dimensions. Or that the Alien ship was capable of traveling from one dimension to another as a means to traverse the vastness of our Milky Way galaxy. "The craft was like a living organism," claimed a document in one of the secret files. When the ship was first recovered, there was a large hole on one side of it.

Presumably caused by an internal explosion, perhaps a leaky antimatter type component of the craft was one theory. The explosion annihilated a large portion of the ship (the actual size of the Alien craft was not found in the documents). Miraculously, three weeks after the craft was discovered the ship completely healed (repaired) itself.

To say the least it was a very mysterious event, since the craft was monitored 24 hours a day and no Alien work crew materialized to perform the work. If Aliens did repair the ship, they were either invisible or the Aliens rendered the guards unconscious and implanted false memories into their minds. The scientists that monitored the craft reported that the healing occurred similar to a human flesh wound, which heals within a few days with the help of blood platelets from the human body. The skin or surface of the ship simply grew back over a period of three weeks.

In realty there is no similarity to the human immunology and that of the ship’s own ability to heal, had a human suffered an equivalent trauma nothing would have grown back and the human would have died. At the end of the three weeks there was no sign that the ship had been damaged, no scar, and the color match where the hull had been broken blended flawlessly with the undamaged part of the ship. The debris from the explosion covered several acres of land with material that had the appearance and consistency of aluminum foil, except that aluminum foil remains crumpled when crumpled. The Alien material bounced back without a wrinkle.

Because the craft repaired itself the scientists investigating it were unable to determine the cause of the crash. But the size of the hole led them to believe that it had to be an internal explosion and not the crash that caused the damage. The material the ship was made of was indestructible by human standards.

After studying the material and its strength, they came to the conclusion that anything earthly could not harm the ship in anyway, nor cause the slightest damage to it, including that of a lighting strike (one of the original theories on what caused the saucer to crash).

Of the three Aliens that were recovered from the craft when it was found, one was dead and two were alive.

The three Aliens were removed from the ship at the time of its recovery and taken to an undisclosed location. The secret committee in possession of the Alien craft had no knowledge of the whereabouts of the Aliens, and at that time were unconcerned, they had plenty on their plate with the Alien ship and the mysterious cargo that was in it.

Several months passed before the scientists felt comfortable working inside of the Alien craft. Entering it was like walking into a time warp, all sense of reality vanished.

Wristwatches did not operate inside the Alien craft and neither did any of the five physical human senses. Things smelled differently or not at all while in the ship. Body odor lost its pungency; however, the food they brought into the ship gave off an offensive odor, as if it was rancid, making it inedible while in the ship. Perfume and cologne was undetectable until they stepped out of the ship and the nose once again picked up on the scent. From the experiments with food the scientists determined that it was not permanently affected or altered in any way and the food regained its natural smells and taste when it was taken out of the Alien craft.

The other senses: sight, hearing, and touch, changed for the better. If a scientist wore glasses he needed to remove them to be able to see. It was the same with hearing. All sound was crystal clear regardless of previous hearing abilities of the scientists. Touch was sensitive to the point of being erotic. The ship simply felt good! However, the scientists were not accustomed to feeling optimally good, and healthy, and it took time (most never did) before they became comfortable with the invigorating sensation inside the ship’s environment.

Unfortunately, if they spent long periods in the craft coming out was the worst kind of jetlag. The scientists became irritable, groggy, drained, and achy and had to readjust to feeling lousy again. Ironically, that was the normal feeling of their bodies that they forgot about while in the ship.

Although the senses were on high alert while in the ship, the description that was unanimous among those that entered the ship was that it was surreal. They had a dreamy state of mind, yet, they were energized and not at all sleepy while in the ship.

On the flip side, much of that alertness turned into apprehension, and for some, nightmarish. The persistent feeling that something living (Aliens) was present in the ship with them, behind them, around them, like wisps or shadows that never quite came into focus. It was unnerving for those that worked inside the craft. There was no doubt that they were not alone while in the ship! To compensate for the time distortion the scientists posted two men outside the craft and had one of them enter the ship every few minutes, and announce the time to those inside. When the craft was first discovered, the scientists spent hours and sometimes days oblivious to the fact that even a single minute had passed. Working for long stretches of time without losing energy or focus was common, but it created problems for those with families.

The interior of the craft was much larger than its physical exterior suggested. No one is sure that all the rooms and compartments on the ship have been discovered. Everyone who entered it came out with a different numbers even the same person comes out with a different count each time they leave the craft. Another problem they faced was leaving the ship with intelligible notes. Everything they wrote down ended up being a maze of half-written words and sentences that were void of any meaning once they exited the ship. The scientists attempted to take pictures of the instruments and other interior rooms of the ship, but were unsuccessful. When the film was developed, it was as if it had been exposed to light. So they tried different systems of shielding the camera from the unknown radiation. They enclosed the camera in various alloys, plastics and exotic cutting-edge ceramics in vain attempts to insulate the film, nothing worked.

There were scores of gadgets on the ship. Some have been taken out of the ship and experimented with; others even though they are portable could not be removed from the craft. An invisible force inside the craft kept the scientists from leaving the ship with certain alien items, no one ever figured out why, nor how to circumvent that force.

Every Alien gadget somehow knew what its purpose was. Unlike human gadgets like hammers, toasters, etc., which are static and only function correctly if at all with the help of a human, or an electrical outlet. Alien objects appeared to have consciousness (were alive), and they perform duties independently and without any known power source like batteries, solar cells, or electrical cords, and operated indefinitely!

The opening or doorway to the ship was another mystery. When a scientist approached the craft with the intention of entering it, an opening appeared instantly. If there was no intention by the scientist of entering the ship, nothing opened. The ship can be entered from any location, top, sides and from the bottom of the craft.

Wherever a scientist approached the ship, that’s where they entered. When an opening manifested it led to the same central location, regardless of the point of entry. The craft was able to absorb several people into it at once. A feat that left many of the scientists spooked beyond comprehension. According to one testimony, “if all the technicians who were analyzing the craft formed a circle around it and intended to enter it in mass they all did!” There are no doors, as we know and understand doors, only an opening that accommodates the size of the person or persons entering the ship. The ship appeared to work something like osmosis. The person desiring entry and standing next to the ship instantly found himself inside the ship. Yet, if there was no mental desire to enter or exit, the ship remained impregnable. No manmade machinery could break into the ship.

One thing that Quix didn't include in that nonsense about The Object™, emphasis added:

Also it should be known, there are no lack of individuals who fit the stringent pattern of abduction for us to operate on. Our e-mail continues to run about 300 hundred behind per month and contain numerous requests for possible implant investigations.

Phillip Klass, who was the best debunker of the UFO/Bigfoot con artists, once wrote a "dedication" in one of his books, in effect damning those who kept pushing all this nonsense because they willingly cause misery to the gullible and mentally afflicted.

Strange Lights Chased by Jets Again October 29,
Over Stephenville, Texas, and Crystalline Triangle in Ohio

“As the large white-orange object was rising up,
it looked like it was going into the center of the triangle of blue lights. ”
- Tim Comstock, Ohio Truck Driver

[see pic on Linda’s website]

October 31, 2008 Stephenville, Texas - Every day since October 23, I have been receiving reports of unusual aerial lights in different regions of the United States, including Stephenville, Texas. Eyewitnesses describe patterns of lights in straight lines that change to vertical lines; or straight lines that change to triangular patterns; or spinning discs shooting off spirals of light; or pulsing red-orange lights; or even a huge, flat triangle-shaped craft apparently lifting a large, glowing object from a hill near Empire, Ohio.

On October 29, I was scheduled to interview Jason Rowland who lives in Granbury, Texas. He and his wife had been in Stephenville (about 30 miles southwest of Granbury) on both October 28 and October 29, to sky watch for strange lights since so many Stephenville residents had been reporting aerial lights and jets chasing them since October 23. He was going to tell me about bright, white aerial lights he and his family saw evenly spaced in a straight line on Tuesday, October 28. But when I called him to do the October 29, interview at 8 PM, he and his wife were outside in Stephenville and excited right then about seeing more odd lights with jets speeding toward them.

Interview:

Jason Rowland, Stephenville, Texas: “We started seeing those lights again tonight (Oct. 29, 2008, at 8 PM Central). There’s a main one sitting way above all of them. And we saw all the fighter jets come over. They’ve got the blinking lights on them. And the jets meet up with the lights and they are gone! This one was horizontal this time and they flash on like headlights on a car, like they turn off and on. It’s like you’ll see, Boom! You’ll see three or four lights in a horizontal fashion that turn back off. Then it turns back on and it (lights) are on a vertical fashion. Then we see all the military personnel (in jets) going out towards this main thing (big light). There is like one big one in the sky, bright light. And then there is another one below it that is red and all the military personnel (in jets) started going towards that (red) one. I mean, they made contact with it. And they were gone! I know they (jets) did (make contact) because I saw the jets go right to it (red light).

THE JETS MADE LIKE COLLISION CONTACT WITH THESE LIGHTS?

I don’t know about collision contact, but they (jets) went right to it (red light below big white light) and then all of a sudden their flashing lights (of jets) were gone. And I know it was our military because our military (jets) have flashing lights. I know from being in the Marine Corps that our plane lights flash off and on.

WERE THERE ALSO FOUR CAR LIGHT-LOOKING LIGHTS IN A ROW?

There were four at one time and there was two and then it went back to three again.

THE LIGHTS WOULD FLASH OFF AND THEN END UP IN A VERTICAL LINE?

Right.

AND COME BACK TO A HORIZONTAL LINE?

Right.

Lights and Jets Also Over Granbury, Texas

Now my brother is seeing it in Granbury above his house. And we saw some weird stuff like big, ol’ circular fashion come off the big, huge, bright light. It looked almost like laser spinning, like a blade coming off of there (big white light). It (spinning laser-looking)was way bigger than than the light. My Mom called me and said – she was freaking out – ‘Craig, there’s one over his house (Jason’s brother). There are military jets all around it! So he (Craig, brother) called me and said, ‘Yeah, there’s one above my house and military jets are around it.’ He’s in Granbury and I’m in Stephenville.

THAT’S ABOUT HOW MANY MILES APART?

About 30 miles.

Subject: December 13, 1999 program Roswell: Secrets Revealed

Dear History Channel:

As the nuclear physicist who began the civilian investigation of the Roswell Incident back in the 1970s, who has co-authored a book “Crash at Corona: The Definitive Story of the Roswell Incident” and numerous papers about Roswell, and, of course, was the first to talk to many of the key witnesses (almost all of whom you somehow missed), I naturally viewed the subject program with great interest, especially since I was in Roswell on December 13... I must congratulate you on providing a Masterpiece of Misrepresentation. A splendid example of propaganda, excellent for teaching purposes. You demonstrated the primary rules such as selective choice of data, false reasoning, positive and negative name calling. You also demonstrated the 4 basic rules of UFO debunkery:

1. What the public doesn’t know, we are not going to tell them.

2. Don’t bother us with the facts, our minds are made up.

3. If we can’t attack the data, we will attack the people; it is much easier.

4. Do one’s research by proclamation, rather than investigation. It is much easier and most people won’t know the difference.

I have discussed the two Air Force reports in my enclosed papers “The Roswell Incident, the USAF, and the NY Times” (28 pages) and my Review of “The Roswell Report: Case Closed.” You seem to have blindly accepted any comment from a noisy negativist and didn’t bother with the work of professionals such as myself. Let me give some specific examples, although I found that I can’t get a copy of the show for 4-6 weeks to give precise quotes.

A. How do you dare to show a small heap of wreckage? In my first conversation with Major Jesse Marcel, the Intelligence Officer for the 509th Composite Bomb Group, in 1978, he described wreckage strewn out over an area 3/4 of a mile long. The Roswell Daily Record cover-up article of July 9, 1947, stated the wreckage covered an area 200 yards in diameter. Your depiction was at most a few yards across. If that is all there had been, rancher Mack Brazel would have taken it all in his truck to the Sheriff’s office and there would have been no reason for Major Marcel and Captain Cavitt to have followed him on the long rough journey back to the Foster Ranch operated by Mack. You have blindly accepted a fairly recent statement by Cavitt to Colonel Weaver about him recalling it was just a balloon covering an area only 20’ square and easily fitting in one vehicle. Apparently Cavitt wasn’t told it was supposed to be a MOGUL balloon which included 23 standard helium filled neoprene balloons (at 20’ intervals) and a whole bunch of radar reflectors, sonobuoys, ballast tanks, etc all strung together. Some small pile. Of course Cavitt hadn’t remembered that simple fact when asked many times by many people for the previous fifteen years, even denying that he had been on the base at the time.

B. Dr. C.B. Moore, whom I have met, himself strongly claimed that neoprene out in the sun for weeks would be totally degraded. Did he forget that little detail? A June 4 or June 14 launching could not possibly have survived so well until early July. You also neglected to mention that many of the July 8 newspaper articles claimed the wreckage was found “last week.” But Rancher Brazel had been in the area just a few days earlier and could never have left that mountain of garbage where the sheep could ingest it. Mack had of course previously found two balloons. The newspaper of July 9 quotes him saying he was sure what he found wasn’t any weather balloon.

Colonel Weaver left this quote out of his recital of the article.

C. Too bad you couldn’t mention that the 509th was the most elite military group in the world with hand picked officers and men, and high security. They had dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the two tested in the Pacific in July, 1946, in Operation Crossroads. You noted the July 9, 1947, press release and then stated nobody knows why it was issued. Why didn’t you bother to ask Walter Haut who issued it? He still lives in Roswell and has been interviewed hundreds of times. His story hasn’t changed since I first spoke to him more than twenty years ago. Incidentally he also had been a bombardier on thirty raids over Japan and dropped the instrument package over one of the Crossroads tests. He issued the press release because he was ordered to do so by Colonel William Blanchard, Commander of the 509th and of Roswell Army Air Field. Before suggesting he must have been incompetent, as have some who haven’t done their homework, I should add he was a member of the West Point All Star class of 1938, became a four-star general by the time he was 48 and was Vice Chief of Staff of the USAF when he died of a massive heart attack at the Pentagon in 1966. There was ,of course, a lengthy obituary in the NY times. Doesn’t sound much like he was thought to be incompetent, does it?

It was stated that Blanchard retracted the press release four hours later. This is nonsense. Blanchard’s boss, General Roger Ramey in Fort Worth, Texas, (Blanchard was in Roswell) issued a new story after being informed by hisChief of Staff, Colonel Thomas J. DuBose that Ramey’s boss, General Clements McMullen, had given orders to cover up the story. I heard that first hand from retired General DuBose whose testimony is available on film. He was a West Pointer as well and had 18,000 hours as a pilot and set up the USAF Search and Rescue command. No slouch at all.

D. Why do you show only the Roswell Daily Record? After all there were front page headline stories in the Chicago Daily News, the Sacramento Bee, the Los Angeles Herald Express, the Spokane Chronicle, etc all evening papers for July 8. The West coast papers in general had done a lot of checking before publishing detailed articles. Too bad you did none.

E. Where did the comment come from about bodies cold to touch?

F. The notion that Pilot Kittinger was the red haired officer is more absurdity. After all he wasn’t at the Roswell hospital until 1959. I was the first to hear two independent stories about a nasty red haired officer and a black Sergeant. Both events taking place in 1947. Has the air force invented time travel? There is no other way to get crash test dummies, all of whom were the height and weight of pilots, back to 1947 from 1953 at the earliest or to get Kittinger to the Roswell hospital in 1947. This is flat out fiction.

G. Why did you not talk to others still alive who had first hand involvement such as Jesse A. Marcel Jr., a medical doctor, who handled wreckage, has served on military aircraft accident investigative teams and was a pilot? Or Loretta Proctor, neighbor of Mack Brazel, who handled wreckage? or Mack Brazel’s son Bill who found strange (thin strong memory material) wreckage out in the pasture? How about the sheriff’s two daughters? All this testimony has been readily available for many years.

H. One of the first things Major Jesse Marcel told me is that there was nothing conventional to be found on the debris field. No wires, no vacuum tubes, no rivets. He was very familiar with aircraft and aircraft wreckage and balloons and radar reflectors and rockets. The notion that he wouldn’t have recognized balloon wreckage or radar reflectors is frankly absurd. You are also implying that Blanchard, who had also served in the Pacific, would have ordered the press release and the B-29 flight with the wreckage brought back from the ranch and Marcel to Fort Worth is equally absurd, if all there was was totally conventional stuff. You know of any materials such as the I-beam like pieces with strange symbols that couldn’t be cut, burned, or broken? Or memory metals that were like foil but couldn’t be cut and, when folded over and over, would unfold on their own? Why couldn’t the USAF find any of that toy maker tape in the pictures taken in Ramey’s office?

I. Brazel didn’t make his discovery on July 5th. It was earlier. He did go to the store-pool hall in Corona on the 5th which is when, not having electricity or a phone or a radio, he first heard about all the saucer sightings and a reward and was told he ought to go to the Sheriff in Roswell which he did on the 6th — NOT on the 7th as you claimed. You made it sound as though Sheriff Wilcox looked in the phone book to find a nearby Air Base. There was a standing arrangement that anything that might effect the military would be reported to Roswell Army Air Field. There was no other base in the area.

J. I have met with Dr. Schirmer, Dr. Moore, Mr. Gildenberg. They haven’t investigated the case. They have made proclamation after proclamation about second and third hand testimony. Why use the term “conspiracy theorist” so many times without ever justifying it? Who are these theorists? I began the investigation and have always provided evidence for the claims that I make which is more than can be said for your trio. They have actually created a conspiracy theory namely that a bunch of stupid UFO researchers and lying witnesses have created a fantastic story for fun and profit. This, of course, ignores the fact that loads of testimony was obtained by us serious researchers long before the cameras started rolling. My phone bills used to run several hundred dollars a month.

By the way, I do know something about security having worked as a nuclear physicist on a wide variety of highly classified advanced nuclear and space system programs for such companies as General Electric, General Motors, Westinghouse, TRW Systems, McDonnell Douglas, and Aerojet General Nucleonics. I have also been to nineteen different government document archives.

Just how much experience with security has Dr. Schirmer had?

K. What was this nonsense about a 1956 plane crash somehow confusing Glenn Dennis about bodies at the base in 1947? A few years ago I went with Glenn to the Ballard funeral home. We reviewed records with full permission of the operator there who obviously respected Glenn. There were a number of military plane crashes for which he handled the bodies even after bad fires. That was his job. No possible way such a crash could have confused him. Yet another false conspiracy theory from your trio.

L. At one point early on in the program the word UFO was used. Sorry. It was not used until after 1951. Several times when showing balloons and talking about Mogul you showed tear drop shaped polyethylene balloons. Round standard Neoprene balloons were used for all MOGUL launches before July — the same kind that Mack had retrieved. And that rapidly disintegrate in the sun.

In summary then, the History Channel has presented myth and propaganda in the guise of truth.

You have supplied misrepresentation instead of investigative journalism. You should be ashamed and should apologize to your audience. It seems to me you have also violated FCC rules with regard to fairness, honesty, and accuracy in so doing. My colleagues and I would be happy to debate your trio of amateurs any time. I would suggest that they do their homework first.

Cordially,
Stanton T. Friedman

Enclosures.
