Did anyone else see the Letterman Show tonight, Friday 8/15: when actor Ben Kingsley walked out to great applause, he walked up to Dave Letterman and said "God Bless American Enthusiasm!" and then repeated himself, "God Bless American enthusiasm!"
Except CBS simply filtered out the word "God." Both times. Watching closely, I know I saw Kingsley's lips form the word "God" both times, his lips were clearly moving before I heard "...Bless American enthusiasm!" I thought I was imagining things, but it happened a second time!
Or does any conservative still watch the wretched Letterman? (I'm staying until Emmylou Harris comes on...
Maybe his mic was possessed by an evil spirit?

I know network television deletes “God” from the phrase “God damn.” As for “God bless...,” I don’t see the need.
I was going to ask you : why are you still watching that cranky, old, anti-American, overrated liberal when any other channel (including the Playboy channel) can give you more entertainment at that time of the night?

I saw that part just last Christmas, Linus reading from the Bible, but I seem to remember it wasn't on CBS...
Wasn't Red Skelton on CBS? His good-bye at the end of every show was always "Good Night and may God Bless."

I wonder if CBS would censor “God Damn America” in the same way that they censored “God Bless America”? Probably not.
I have an idea — email Ben Kingsley and ask if they censored him. If they did, he should be pretty ticked off.
Television is getting unwatchable. This type of censorship abounds and we have infomertials on channel after channel.
just watched it on youtube and they definitely left the word before bless out. i guess CBS now stands for Christians Better Shut up...................

You can show Janet Jackson’s mutilated nipple on the Superbowel Craptime show (as produced by Viacommie-MTV) but you can’t say the word G*D. Par for the course. Lenny Bruce would be having a good laugh now if he hadn’t ODed.
